tyrone07
I was just wondering who uses the okuma efs 20s for bream as i am going to go buy one. I have got the eb 80 and have had a fair bit of trouble with the baitrunner. Thanks

tyrone07
something like the gear shaft or something was bent when it was made so they fixed it but now you cant change the baitrunner so its on to loose. They said thats the first time that problem has ever happened b4.

tyrone07
Do you guys ever use it for frigates or anything like this.
kikila
I have the 30 & have it loaded 10 pound fireline, last season I knocked over 8 to 10 kings up to 80cm & heaps of salmon. The reel worked flawlessly, the 20 will handle little tunas with no dramas
Bashir
Mate I've caught heaps of frigates, kings, sambos you name it on my little okuma granite The epix will handle it no worries, little threadlines these days are miles ahead of old technology. bombora
Have used one for all manner of things; it's had no trouble on fast runners including kings etc. The gear ratio is a blast for small fast fish and mini poppering. Drag is brilliant for the price. Second metal spool is good value. Only complaint is that they are damn heavy for their size (though this I reckon can be a bit of an advantage on longer light rods ) and they scratch up easily. Ozy
I have a EB30 and an EFS20 and both have been great reels, that is since I had them repaired (under warranty) after the anti-reverse went in both of them .
Stevo
My Okuma EFS-20 is about 2 years old now, i did use it for bream initially but it didnt balance with the rod too well due to its weight. But its what i use for hardbour sambos, rat kings, and anything else that chases baitfish. Its never let me down and their drags are number 1.
