saltrix Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 Went out on my own as I couldnt get any company. It was an ideal day, just enough westerly for a drift early, and then it calmed down to nothing so I shifted to deeper water off Long Reef but still didnt move much. Marbled flathead, Eastern Bluespot flathead, morwong, samson fish, and just legal snapper made up the catch. Got a 3 tailor at Grotto Point going out for bait.

DaveD Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 Lotsa fish, yum yum yum Pity no one went with ya, maybe they will reconsider after seeing results like that.
Bigfoot Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 Well Done! Good to see another result, things seem to be hotting up now that our respective waterways have had a decent flushing out. Even offshore efforts have seen increasing numbers of quality fish being landed in recent times. That leads me to ask :(in general) Are we getting better? Has technology improved our chances so much? ie: improved lures, techniques, equiptment. Is the Profesional licence buyback actually having a positive effect on recent results? Or is it something else? Who's got an opinion?> Good work. Keep it up! Later Biggie.

xtosea Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 Champ you really do get onto the fish, the amount of times i've seen you ask for company and no one jumps in i dont know why? You have produced the goods the last two times, i would be jumping at the chance to go with ya if i had no boat or had time off! Well done to you Kamil
pelican Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 I've gotta ask. Do the tides affect the bite much when you are on the drift in reasonably deep water or is it just the sunrise getting fish on the bite??
