You guys remind me of my old man and the fact that being uncomfortable was never a bar to fishing.

Forget the fact that it is cold and wet, if their is a chance at catching fish, lets go.

Great report guys.

Cheers

Mitch

Hi Netic,

Mate awesome fish and report.

What do the bigger kings taste like?

Cheers

mate,

we very rarely keep big kings for the table,

fish in the 65 - 70 cm range are our BBQ fish we take home!!

if we dont have BBQs or family gatherings ect they almost always go back tagged after a quick photo on the brag mat...

theres nothing more satisfying then catching BIG fish then setting them free unharmed

watching them power back to the depths....

i havnt tried the kingy yet as hes on the menu for tonights dinner but its all filleted and ready to go!!

cheers steve

Niiice! good work guys we are trying so hard to track down some fish with some decent size you guys must be doen something right.

Good onya

Jack

Mate from What i can tell there is a school of bigger fish moving around the harbour. these fish are ranging between 90cm to 110cm....Its two of these fish that we caught....and the other bust offs were from the same school....

I think Old Salty's big fish came from the same school.......

But this school is hard to find, we were out also yesterday but only managed Kings up to 78cm....

Great report once again...

Steve, have you cracked the metre mark yet or is that the biggest?

Awesome fish.

Cheers

Tony

unfortunaltely not yet mate, have come close on a few occasions

only 2cms to go now :1prop: ..

i was only introduced to kings last summer by netic and crew and was VERY basic

not knowing a thing about , kings , squid, downrigging or never even fished the harbour before,

so im very thankfull to all that oz and sal have passed on to me...

id like to think in this short time ive come along way.... but everytrip we all learn something

i think in the beginning its just important to be dedicated and get the basics right then the rest flows...

cheers steve
