Weird Fish Help Me I Have No Idea What It Is?

hay guys i was down at kyeemah whalf and i caught this fish i quickly took a photo. it looks like a half flathead and half whiting. please tell me what it is???

my boys caught some of these at patonga we were told they were called star gazers ? not sure ray

Its not a star gazer the eyes arent big eneough for it to be one and star gazers heads make up nearly half of their total body length-

I'm pretty sure it they call them blenny as per attached piccie (there are different species around but it looks like one for sure)

It is a goby. Extremely common but not usually caught because of their small size. The species was/is Favonigobius lateralis (genus may have changed). This species has elongated stripes along its body which originate on the spots in the centre of its flank. There are hundreds of goby species in Australian waters. Their pelvic fins (the fins underneath the body but in front of the anal fin)are fused together to form a sucking disc.

I agree that it's a type of goby, possibly a Kreffts Goby.

Looks like a Squidgy to me!

definitely a goby, i used to catch em with nets, and put em in my fishtank. Very interesting pelvic fins they got there. Even able to suck on the glass surface.
