Guest Posted September 14, 2013 Share Posted September 14, 2013 I will just start off this post by saying thankyou to 5 very special guys who I just spent 10 awesome days out of Weipa in FNQ. Firstly Ray Snr for organising an amazing trip and Grant ,Trung, Dan and Gazza for helping me have one of the best fishing trips I have ever had and will never ever forget it. The laughs and sledging was something to behold and what HAPPENS AT WEIPA "STAYS AT WEIPA" I will add a few pictures for your perusal and let the other guys tell their stories and add stuff as I remember it. WOW what a trip !!!! From huge sharks on ropes with meter queenies for bait and 400lb groper to stunning barramundi and all manner of fish in which we caught over 40 species and DID I MENTION THE CROCS. Guest Posted September 14, 2013 Share Posted September 14, 2013 The gear we had was amazing and the plastics that worked great were the Berkley Paddle Tails in white and green. FLT transams. Gold Bombers Metal Slices. Tried a few new pieces of gear from Penn and Abu and my new Torque 2 speed handled some really big sharks and the Revo baitcaster and Abu rod are now firmly in Grants hands..he loved it. dhype Posted September 14, 2013 Share Posted September 14, 2013 What a trip away with a bunch of crazy clowns! Laughs and fish all week long... everyone had a ball! First up a MASSIVE thanks to Ray for arranging everything, you are a champ mate. The fishing was great and the conditions got better as the days rolled on. We did 2 fishing trips each day hitting the beaches, creeks and offshore then went back to the boat to dick around with the sharks at night! Plenty of fish was caught and we ate kilos of the finest fillets found anyway...mmmmm I getting so hungry... Thanks Ray, Gary , Stew and Grant for a trip I will never forget... Boys.. I want to thank all the guys for There participation.sorry my camera got destroyed on day one so no pics to add to the thread.
