JohnDory
What a great fish. Was a pleasure being there to see it being caught. Stewie you neglected to mention what that big girl did to your double strength 1/4oz jig head. Powerful fish. Just to think the only reason we didn’t put the boat on the trailer and go home, was how busy the ramp was and fished from the Minn Kota. Another fantastic day thanks. The cooks river is one of the most polluted rivers in Australia I believe....I wouldn't eat fish from there every week but now and then may be considered ok I guess. JohnDory
I would love to know what the condition of the Cooks really is! I have watched that river for 45 + years and it is in the best condition I have ever see it! Yes there is of storm water run off from many suburbs close to the City but we did a run up stream ?? 4 - 5 Kms, and although water was darkish it was clean. There were Kingfishers working the banks (pretty birds) + many other sea birds, and bait fish galore. The schools of tailor and Mullet were large. Tailor a pain in the arse those little chopping @#%@@@!. Funny how a place can get a bad name. All that said give me a CLEAN waterway like the hacking any day.
