Weipa WOW

Just came back from Weipa Gulf of Carpentaria coast of the Cape York Peninsula in Queensland after a few days fishing with the wife and daughter. It was some of the best fishing in 25 years since I traveled the Kimberly in WA

We caught, Fingermark, long tail tuna, cod, mackerel, sharks, Barra, Mangrove Jack and some I cant remember the names of.

Here's a few snaps.

Show-off. Here's us catching our flatties and tailor and jackets, and there's you catching those big ones.

Good work on those species we don't see down this way.

We caught the Fingermark about 40min drive south in the gulf. A reef that is on your chat in about 3-4 meters water 1.5km off shore. We also caught plenty of Fingermark up Pine creek.

Thanks Dogbox that sounds like Westminster reef ! Will give it a go on our way down to Boyd Bay where we usually moor the houseboat for the week.
