Lake Macquarie Tips

Hi Raiders,

off to Lake Macquarie next week for a few days of non stop fishing. I haven't been there since I was a kid, does anyone have any good info on what to target and where at this time of year? I assume same species as Sydney harbour, but not sure.,

stick to the channel or go around the lake?

There is usually plenty of salmon in the channel this time of year.

I fished mannering park lightly weighted chicken breast/thigh marinated it in garlic during the days were most productive early morn sometimes just used handline caughts heaps bream . @night checkout summerland point for squid. That was going back couple months

A drift past Pulba Island is usually productive.

Been trying to find it and can't see it was thinking of trying out Swansea tomorrow (weather allowing). How did you go and where did you go?
