DMG
Bare Island yesterday. Got 2 Bream on weed never caught Bream on weed before and on a Black Fish rig but I guess the fish dont know what rig your using. Got a bit rough there as the swell was coming in from the South and East,so the swells were coming in over the rock platform and only fishable by skilled fishos. 4 people fishing for Black Fish, all got a good catch of fish 8+ each. Lots of boats out and about at the entrance of Botany Bay.
luderick -angler
Mate bream on weed are quite common I have caught a lot in the habour on weed over the years. Particularly when in spawning mode as they are now. Great catch as well. The island can get nasty on a rising tide in any decent southerly bump! GoingFishing
Great result DMG some good eating fish there i was at Kurnell for a family bbq on sunday and i saw two rescue boats speed past the headlands and could hear a helicopter close by, i checked the news but couldnt find any reports so maybe it was a false alarm. Anyway i guess my point is in reference to your earlier comment, even the most experienced fishos can get caught out by that one rogue wave
Rob81
There was a boat that overturn down Kurnell on Sunday. That's probably related to what you saw.
