My club (St George Sportfishing Club) had their annual Swansea flathead day on Saturday (and Sunday). Unfortunately I was in Sydney for a birthday party. I don’t know how they went. I usually drift the channel fishing with lures and live poddies.

I’ve seen some crackers come out of the channel. Back in the late 70s/early 80s, spinning with long big bibbed deep diving  minnies was the go. And they used to gaff them! My, how times have changed! My PB   (87cm) came out of the channel, on a poddy.
