Black colored fish caught while targeting Luderick (not Drummer)

Any body know the name of a jet black fish that is often caught while fishing for Luderick ? It's not a drummer species, and its not edible. 

Also not kelp fish / kale. Its all black.

If it has blue line round inside of tail   herring cale  look similar shape to mullet ?? Other than that sawtail surgueon  foto would be handy

Have to agree with Yowie photo of the fish so it can be identified would be the go .

Hopefully not a juvenile black cod if you are thinking of eating it. certainly need a photo for id.
