saltrix
Launched at Tunks a bit after sunup, it was a bit quite with only a few boats out. Tried a troll around Dobroyd and North Head but no takers so out to the usual 55m area off DY. it was a bit lumpy although there was not much wind, just a gentle southerly, but the current was heading north, usually fairly strong to the sou The result was not a decent fish all morning. Even the spikeys were few and far between. No reds, no morwong, just a few sergeant baker and nannigai when close to the reef at the start of the drift. Looking at the the bom chart of current flow it does show a small eddy in that area. Gave up after a couple of hours and tried the harbour for flathead. Got a couple of 34cm but no keepers, Still it was a morning out, I hope others were more successful
