Hi All,

Hit the beach around 7am for a Fish & a swim. Top weather.

As I walked down the beach for a swim there was a small girl playing on the edge of the surf with her bucket & spade. Thought nothing of it at the time.

The water was great. Had a swim. Walked back up the beach & notice this little girl crying. Looked around no parents.

I looked at  the surf, not a good place to be when you are about 4 years old. I said to her where is Mum ?  All of a sudden she said there was  her Mum, sitting on the Beach, you guessed  it on her mobile phone.

I was speechless . Left the Girl & walked away.

There was more to this story, but I am still shaking my head.

Meanwhile back at the Ranch I went fishing.

Caught 4 nice Whiting for the neighbours.

Penn Prevail 2 10ft with Kastking red mono 6lb. Long shank hook & small sinker. Beach worms for bait.

What was that saying.  It doesn't get better than this.

as for the mother, this is why there are problems in the world. I would like to see Faceache, Twaddle, and all of those dumb arse websites shut down for a week. The world would not be able to operate without them.

Great to spend the day on the beach and some fish to boot - being a teacher / administrator, I’ve got to agree with you and @Yowieabout mobile phones and parental lack of adequate supervision.

With the fine weather forecast this week, can’t go wrong with a day at the beach. A swim and a bag of whiting! 👍

Nice to get some sand between your toes and a few whiting as well Rebel.

Some parents just don’t understand the power of the waves, even right on the edge in ankle deep water. I’ve seen so many kids bowled over and dragged out it’s not funny.

Mobile telephones have addicted so many younger people these days!  They are on the way to destroying our Secondary Education.  Students have them out in every lesson.  The mobile should be banned from all schools.
