Larkin
Gday Raiders, rode out with a mate to the two south Sydney FADs to have a looksy on Thursday. Fads are a little off the DPI’s marks, but both in viewing range. Waters blue, temperature still low, so no Dollie’s around. Both FADs had plenty of rat kingies. Caught quite a few - all undersized though. Also caught this striped fish - I’ve never seen one before - have posted in the “aquarium” section if someone knows what it is.
Mike Sydney
Some amazing catches there. That striped one I’ve no idea but looks a good specimen of whatever it is. Good luck at the Aquarium!
zmk1962
Nice report… can’t wait for the warm water to arrive. Regardless of what that striped fish is called - it’s a Long Bay Gaol fish in my books ! cheers Zoran

Aquarium guys know their stuff - Pilot Fish it is! 4 minutes ago, zmk1962 said: Nice report… can’t wait for the warm water to arrive. noelm
As per the other post, it's a Pilot Fish, quite common out wider.
Little_Flatty
Shame about the lack of dollies. That pilot fish is really cool!

Yowie
At least the fish were on, although under sized ones. I picked it as a pilot fish as well, not a common catch. It needs to be quick to swim near or under larger fish, sharks and rays.

I thought so too - a really striking fish! 7 hours ago, Rebel said: Top report & photos. Nice strippey. Well done. Thanks Rebel - was a long day, but fun. 2 hours ago, Yowie said: At least the fish were on, although under sized ones. I picked it as a pilot fish as well, not a common catch. Bit of fun for the day - that pilot fish fought harder than a kingy of similar size - full of energy.
