Bate Bay 6/5

Recommended Posts

Morning Radiers!

As i pulled my phone out last Wednesday i was starting to study the weather for Saturday. The weather forecasts looked better and better as each day ticked over to Saturday, called the lad and said we are going.

Launched from Greys point approx 530am just in time to beat the first bunch who arrive at first light. Proceeded down the channel and headed towards the Bay. Greeted with a nice 8 knotts westerly breeze to which there was no swell or chop. Main target was the faithful squid again and yes the gods were on our side, ended up hooking into 10 nice size specimens after 5hrs.

Decided to venture out deep and put the cherry on top with some flathead but the breeze came up and was making the water rather choppy and unpleasant, we thought the wind would abate but was wrong. Ended up returning back to base about 1pm.
