XD351
G’day Raiders, I went for a fish at half tide rocks in my mates boat today , a bit windy and cold but I did manage 2 flathead ( 63&60cm ) a 32cm bream and 3 good blue swimmers. The rig was my customary spikes fishing Australia half pilly rig and lumo glow sinker , bait was either half pilly or garfish fillet. Pickles
Well done Ian - A good result on an average weather day.
LuckyFil
Very nice sized flatties. That can be a pretty bumpy and busy location with strong current, exposure to southerly wind and sea, not to mention boat traffic from the fast ferries and other craft. Were you anchored or drifting? Yep I know as I have fishing there for near on 40 yrs but it was pretty tame and the boat traffic minimal ! Maybe the weather kept people at home or something? It was a small tide as well . Drifting - I rarely anchor anymore . Edited June 12 by XD351

kymbo56
Nice report, nice catch. Know the area well. But how did you score the blueys when there is no 'R' in the month?🤔

The crabs came from the channel near the lyons park as did the bream , all the flathead came from half tide rocks .
