  3. i agree with kiwi Dave, the first time i fished me and dad went 2 days without a fish, then at about 8.30pm on the third night i caught a 30cm flathead and a couple of whiting, and from then you get hooked. ,don't worry he'll love fishing yet.

  6. hi all, in late september me and a few of my cousins and uncles are renting a houseboat for 5 days and a tinny for each day aswell, i was wondering what some tips and targets on the hawkesbury are, i have fished the hawkesbury once catching loads of bream 1 flathead and a few tailor, are these and jewies the main inhabiters of the hawkesbury or is it just a mixed bag, i'm looking to use sp's and was wondering if there are any specific sp's used to target jewies. i remember that powerbait 3" grubs in pumpkinseed went well fishing around structures but apart from that i'm clueless. any help is appreciated. thanks, phil
  7. have a good day and better night
  8. i've noticed that a little bit too, sometimes you walk past a coles deli and you see smoked trout and they'd be just as big as your hand if not smaller, but im not sure if commercial rules are any different.
  9. sounds like a good day out, 55cm is a beaut!
  10. and by the way, nice job, it will be a nice looking boat when your finished.
  11. my dad and i have been thinking about buying a new swivel seat for our runabout, did u buy it in a single kit? and does it just screw/bolt into the ground?
  12. so they come with fish attractant in the tub?? that would have to add some life to the plastics, aswell as price, seems good value though with the attractant and for 35 29 is about the same as paying 10$ for 12
  13. does anyone have any feedback on this reel, local fishing shop at Umina thinks its a beaut, ive had one for about a year but used it once or twice, if i remember it was a replacement reel on a holiday. has anyone used it or does anyone have any feedback of any Mitchell gear?? thanks, Phil p.s its just a little spinner, i don't think its anything too special.
  14. TVS??? is it like a local area tv station, like aurora for pay TV i dont have TVS
  15. hi everyone, ive had this book for a while now and never reported on it so i am now, i found it great, plenty of info on techniques, when to fish, rigs, good or bad eating, biology and behaviour and where they're found and so on, all of this on bream, tailor, flathead, snapper, jewies, whiting, Aussie salmon, trevally, cobia, queenfish, threadfin, barra, inshore tuna, yellowtail kingies, spanish mackerel, dolphinfish, wahoo, yellowfin tuna, marlin and sharks. i reckon this is a top little book, its author is Alistair McGlashan and i think it cost about 25$ from just a regular book shop.
  16. i like the illegal to die in a parliament house, who takes the consequence, the family??? also, in part of Peru there was a massacre back pre 1950's, and for 20 years after it was illegal to frown or cry so they wouldn't bring back memories of it.
