I've been looking at fishfinders and they seem to be heaps cheaper in the states. The eagle one I have been looking at ,the Seacharter 480DF Fishfinder, retails here for about $999 but you can buy it and get it shipped from a few places in the states for around $500 ( aussie dollars). has anyone ordered gear from the states before? Who has been good to deal with? also whats with single vs dual frequency? cheers dave

gday I am pretty sure that hire boats have restrictions on where they can be used, and that you will find that you are limited to the bay and can't head out wide ( past windawoppa). It's a beautiful part of the world up there, i'll be up there in a few weeks time with the mrs. i'm stinging to go dave

I'm looking at the eagle fish elite 480 vs fishelite 500color ,would I be better to go 480V x 480H in black and white or 320V x 240H in colour? is the resolution going to be heaps better in the black and white, is colour worth the resolution sacrifice? cheers dave

can you just get a say a 7 pound bomb, attach it too some heavy duty line and have a line clip running off that to your fishing line? can anyone help with suggestions thanks dave
