Its my B'day tomorrow and will be getting some money this week or maybe the next. But im faced with a very hard decision, pick a Jewie combo or a bream combo? Jewie combo: 10 or 11ft 8-15kg Penn Big game surf rod $80 80 Quantum Surge $100 30lb braid $60 Total: $240 Or Bream combo: 1-3kg pfleuger trion $105 1000 Shimano reel (havent made up my mind)$50-$100 4lb Fireline crystal $25 Around $220-$250 But my main concern is that im too late for the bream season and that i should wait till next yeat and ive been tring to catch a jewies for 1 year and it will be a big waste of time that whole 1 year for nothing. And winter is the time for big jewies?? I know i know it personal prefrence but i just dont know?? Could some one please help me out with what i should perchase? Cheers, Zac

Getting some nice bream, mullet and blackfish on bread around the rowing club last week and on saturday mate. Mate of myn caught a 25-30kg stingray on a live yakka today.

Some people use 100mm wrigglers for bream. Well atleast you know if your going to catch any bream they wont be small. Cheers, Zac

Bream for dinner, sorry mate wouldnt touch a bream for dinner I sneek a handline in every now and again, 20lb main 30lb leader and they still brick me lol Think i need to hang on and and stay on. Not really a fishing report but oh well. On the way home from school stopped at Birkenhead Point to go for a walk around the mariners and water. Some very nice looking boat there, then i saw a big school of bream, feeding off the mariner, ran up to coles and got some cheap bread and came back down to the same spot, but it seemed like the school swam away. I continued walking around trying to find some bream, found another school, smaller, but bigger fish with the odd big luderick hanging around the school. Anyway, threw some peices of bream on the surface along with some peices sinking down. Then the school went crazy, into a feeding frenzy, smashing every peice of bread that hit the water, had a good look at some the bream, and even saw what looked like a 50cm+ bream and a even bigger luderick. Contined burleying and the school got bigger and bigger, then thought if i could hand feed them?? So got a long peice of bread dipped it in, a average sized bream came up, had a look, then swam away I contined burleying then a nice, probaly 35cm, bream smashed the bread out of my hands and even gave me a free shower lol Stayed for about 15 more minutes, hand feeding for and more bream, what a experience, probaly only way it can get better is hand feeding kings at Lord Howe Island. I had a great day on the water!! Caught 2 bream - 30 and 32cm, 3 flathead - 33,45,58cm, 5 tailor - 25,33,35,48,50cm, 3 yakkas, 8 mullet (3poddies -15cm) - 25,30,33,33,34cm, Hooked up to 2 kings 75cm and 85cm est took me around a pylon!! Also caught 3 blue swimmers on a peice of mullet intended for flathead. All land based

Bought a new net today, and as i was buying it, the man at the counter said that this would be a good net for prawing and catching baitfish (whitebait and other stuff) as well as netting fish. Then i though one night i might go down you iron cove and try for some prawns, but know fark all about catching them?? Could someone help me out about, where i should look, when ect.. Cheers, Zac
