  1. I've only ever been crabbing in Botany Bay and come home with a feed most times.
  2. I feel for ya Jim, im always worried about having my gear go missing when dropping off/picking up the trailer but fortunately enough i use a private ramp and the risk is minimised. I'd hate to have the Stella's/T Curves end up in some low lifes hands.
  3. Thanks Ray, still need to take you out for a fish one of these days.
  4. After very dissapointing weather and bordom setting in before I even started my holidays today was the first oppurtunity I had to hit the water. Mrs Captin requested crabs, so who was I to argue. Got out on the bay at first light and tried a couple of new spots and it didn't dissapoint. Few reports are saying the crabs aren't around but after today I think they'll come on later than usual.
  5. Well done, one metre kingy is on my "bucket list"!
  6. Great catch guys, well done.
  7. I hope this becomes a common practice. See link below. http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/nsw-act/caught-in-the-net-inspectors-crack-down-on-illegal-fishing-activities/story-e6freuzi-1225975195848
  8. Well done on cracking the magic metre mark.

Thanks Ray, yeah arms are still feeling it, now im motivated to crack the magic metre mark. I must admit Slinky it is addictive!
  10. A few of the boys and myself finally got to head outside today for a jigging session after the last three times were cancelled due to the weather. Today marked a couple of milestones for me, first time offshore to not get sea sick (thanks to ET's Sea Sickness Pills), and got a PB Kingy 83cm and got my bag limit on them. Started off at The Peak, not much happening there apart from a couple of barracuda. Then off to twelve mile where once again it didn't dissapoint, with no sea sickness i was unstoppable. We ended up with 14 for the day with another 4 stonkers getting busted off (two right next to the boat), largest of the day was my PB 83cm.
  11. Here kingie kingie kingie.........

  12. 2010 Version of the Benny Hill Show!
  13. Top effort boys, the 4th last shot is awesome, looks seconds away from being pulled in! Keep up the good work and reports.
  14. Thanks everyone for your help, ended up ringing Maritime yesterday arvo and was told they are about 8 weeks behind because of their new computer system. Ended up paying for my licence over the phone, now we won't have any drama's.
  15. Well done Jim, great effort.
  16. Just wondering, my wifes' and I boat licence expires at the end of this week and we haven't received a renewal notice, don't they usually send something out to inform you or has that all stopped now?
  17. It was a great day to be out yesterday. Good size squid you've got there. I have this feeling that it will a great season for fishing as long as the winds behave themselves!
  18. Well its not quite bling! But im proud to support the cause. Hers's another side shot, if you ever see me out and about (mainly Botany Bay) feel free to come up and say hello. Will do a full profile on the Captin one of these days.
  19. I just want to send a BIG thanks to Stewy, Donna and EVERYONE else who made today happen. I know how much time, effort and behind the scenes work it takes to make it possible. Its a shame mother nature wasn't on our side, but "thats fishing"! Well done again and looking foward to the next one.
  20. Great report, good photos, enjoyable read. Hope your luck continues.
  21. Well done, bet the bream fought well. I've always wanted to take the Captin out over on that side of town as i know theirs a few good species for catch and release, might have to make the effort this season.
  22. George, it was caught on a 3.0. Packed and ready to go Nippy!!
  23. Thanks for that, there was no notice on the DPI Fisheries site, didn't get email or any other form of communication to advise of this change. Think they need to look at their line of communication so the message doesn't come from a third party.
