  6. Cheers mate, I have a budget of around $350. Dogtooth mentioned the xzoga rods, i had a look on you tube and they look like a great rod. Anyone else with any other suggestions? Thanks, Young Gun
  7. Hi raiders, Just wanted some insight into what rod would match a Saragosa 18000f. I will mostly be using it as a jigging/live baiting combo but will also hopefully get out there and use it for some YFT in winter, or maybe even some small blacks in the upcoming season. Am i asking to much out of one single rod? I will be running 80lb suffix braid if that helps. Any information would be very much appreciated. Thanks guys, Young Gun

  10. Myself and a Nathan a fellow raider *kingcatcher* ventured into narrabeen lake on Friday night hoping for a few prawns . The prawns were few and far between but ended up with 6 very nice size blue swimmers that we scooped up in our prawn nets.. Didn't think that they were in narrabeen lake. Was a very nice surprise and mum was pleased. cheers YG

  16. Hi all, I always use fluro leaders, usually FC Rock but sometimes i use a Japanese line which had a big V on the packet, the rest of the writing is in Japanese Its well worth the $35 or so for 50m of 25lb. It lasts for yonks and doesn't damage at all. Using a good leader gives me confidence when fishing so i guess its just up to personal preference and trial/error. Cheers YG
  17. Hahahaha mate that is one of the best posts ive read in a long time!!!. Well worth reading. Cheers YG

  24. Yeah guys was a great day in pitty, got over 30 legal tailor Friday night but only kept 11 for a few mates and myself. Headed out again today and was lucky to get into the tailor again this morning, but all went back to live another day. Headed out and got a very nice selection of live bait - Squid, Garfish and Yakkas. They went down to the depths and the kingies were pretty shy but managed a nice 69cm one also a lot of good bream and flathead about which is a great sign that pittwater is warning up . All in all a great day, did anyone else have any luck in pittwater today? Cheers YG
