Congrats Kelvin on your new pride and joy, I'm sure she would server you well in the future, I too totally agree with you on the impotence of a "right" prop, I've also play around with a few prob before deciding on one that I think would suite the boat and the engine, I was lucky in a sinse the dealer where I brought the boat from was more then helpful and supply me with a few different prop so I could play around with it. From the look on you little ones face, they to are ecstatic about the new toy.. can't wait until my son is old enough to accompany me on a fishing trip. Hope to see blue frog up our way . G'day Kelvin, Mate, I'm trying to tee up a date with Al B as we speak, looking at end of Feb, but it look like the Sambo has stated to do the run south, I'll keep you posted. may end up taking the boat and fallow you to the harbor to chase the king instead if I can't get my fix in WA.. G'day deadwood doyen Like you , I fish Broken bay and Pit water when even the allows, As Chirs mention, B/bay Pittwater is a lot of water to cover, my suggestion is look back one what the Raiders member have posted in regards to this area, there is allot you can learn from reading reports from fellow raiders, Keep on it and ur on the right track. PS: I to troll for kings with live Yakka and squid, only deferens , I don't have a down rigger, I get the bait down deep by using a running sinker set up, a heavy sinker then a swivel then about one and a half meter trace, troll at about 1-2 knots, have deferens Wight on two rods, that way you know how deep the fish are. it works for me ! Great report And I thought only WA have sharks stealing your catch..... Not in SYD harbour..... Last time out Sambo jigging, I was told by the skipper that the day before they had a 18foot mako stealing Sambo's right next to the boat. Must have been a sight seeing that 2M+ bull shark come so close to the shore, shame about the lost Jew !!! Cheers Dave

Well Done Kelvin, Look like we have another hook on Sambo Jigging bug!! I'll bet your whole body is sore , tough your body is in pain, but you'll do it all over again right now if you given the opportunity, I'm I right..... that's Sambo Jigging bug.... And Kelvin, I too feel it was to much of a wasted to kill such a beautiful fish,( they not the best testing fish anyhow) Samson fish congregate every year from Mid Oct to Later March to breed, that's when we have large congregation gathering to spawn, So if you guys want get some of this Sambo fix, get on to it NOW, As Kelvin say, is hard to describe the sensation of hooking on to a 30-50 KG steam train on 80bl braid, drag on full lock on 20kg+ unless you experience it your self, As kelvin said, is worth every cent I'm lucky I get to flight to WA for work every second month , I only go out with his particular chatter operator, I get to do it all over again in Feb, so choose your chatter carefully, I've had heard some shockers out there,PM me if you would like detail on the Chatters operator that i use, but i heard his book all the way to March... Great report guys Them Bonnis are great fun on light gear what about the weather!! top notch. I was out on B/B, and like you guys, first half of the day all we could manage was rat kings, then things got interesting the second half when we notice bird working on the far side of F/Steel, manage to spend the next two hours hooking on to sambo and tailors, Great stuff.... Rat's seems to be everywhere, we fish B/B Sunday, and all we could manage was Rat's, Mind you been fishing the bay for last 10 years, I've never seeing so many rats before, anyone else?????? so I think we done the right thing with the kingie traps.
