Nice fishes dude. I also caught a bream in Canada Bay/ Victoria Bridge area using a top floater. Totally smashed it, but it was too small. Probably full of dioxins as well. Its soo true about the Gulp, I bought some the other day and now everything it came in contact with smells like crap. All those expensive juices leaked everywhere and thus I caught no fish...Woodchop can attest to that. No other reason than that.

I was out at Bare Island (La Parouse) this afternoon going for squids. There were a bunch of guys fishing for blackfish. The older guys, Croatians, I think, caught about 6-10 Blackfish. Don't know how long it took them. But I was around that area, rock side facing the golf course where a guy was catching them as fast as he could put the bait in the water. This was around 4-430pm.

Hey WoodChop, (Daniel, I think) Yeah that was me, Csaba (Chubba). I stayed around the area for a while then headed down to Captain Cooks bridge, (absolutely packed, and some people just tossing lines across others) I left, went to Bare Island around 4pm, stayed for a bit until the rain. I got a decent flathead at Brighton, but nothing else. If you ever want to head fishing, let me know I gladly join you. Congrats on that large fish.

Wow, lots of fish, good feed, not much more you can ask for. Where abouts on the beach did you guys fish from? I am heading out his afternoon to give it a shot. Any suggestions?

Nice fish!! Don't want to sound like a foreigner,(although I am Canadian) but where is Blackhead? So I guess that I can just chuck out or put aside my spoons, crankbaits, etc. and buy floats, big hooks and pilchards.

This is the topic section I have been searching for on other forums! I am somewhat new to Australian saltwater fishing, however, not new to fishing or being on a boat. (in rough waters also). If anybody is heading out this week/end or whenever and are looking for someone to fish with, share costs, (coffee) whatever, count me in. I usually fish for squid at Bare Island (La Parouse), I am probably the only big Canadian guy there, so I might have met some of you already.
