  1. Hi mate , i was out there also and managed 2 trev with the yellow stripe on them and 2 rat kings. And did it piss down and thunder on the bay.
  2. Go the botany kings ........great report.Love the CATAlINA out fit awsome.
  3. I agree, its the lead up to the full moon thats the best time to have a crack at them.
  4. It sucks hard to see them still hanging at the peak, I was out their last month and would like to ask you did you see the FISH-TRAP being placed on top of the PEAK??????
  5. Hi all , i got hold of some cheap little cable ties( multi - colour ones) from one of those majore automotive supliers. You can pass it through the eye socket easy...zip up the hook and cut the tag off.
  6. Hehe big smile and two big kings ....priceless
  7. At least you had a go for those kings, the weather seems to be going to hell at the moment and picking clear weather windows mite be on the cards for the next couple of weeks.I kinda feel the kings are not in the bay in numbers yet.......but i hope im totally wrong.
  8. Soon as the water temp comes up that same run will PAY us in Golden Tailes (FINGERS CROSSED)
  9. Headed for a troll to coodgee for zip...Sounded up a large school of Nannygai on our way to the Peak only to loose all our jigs and bottom bashing rigs to the buggers. Water temp never went past 20.C We called it a day for a nice run back into botany bay.
  10. And dont forget that king fish get up in there also, ive got a couple last year in front of the rowing club... salmon also.
  11. Its still a very nice place to fish, when there hasn't been big down pours of rain it can look very clean. When the mullet are on you wont believe how far they go up the river, even on a big tide they will swim right up storm water run-off drain , wait for the tide change and out they go fast.It has to be the best time to nail a jew when those big mullet come in the cooksy.
  12. Ive tryed to sneek a plastic or two around those bridges , like the road bridge (not the Princes hyw)the one that takes you over to earlwood i found it to be so snagy it was a pain. The rail bridge seems to be the better option.
  13. I flick plastics were it splits up to wolli creek, only ever got one jew in there but have seen guys in tinnes pull them up on a high tide - run out on the eastern side of the rail bridge. You do get some nice bream in there but they glow in the dark so dont eate'm :-)
  14. Not another SERIOLA junkie
  15. Cool Vid and sounds, GREAT STUFF
  16. BEAUTIFUL KINGS....Well done.I downriged Botany heads on sunday with live squid ,live yakka then sounded some fish on outer reefs for ZIP.
  17. I squid jig around La-perouse in the evenings and with the low tides for me they have shut down or moved to deeper waters i think.... Don't worrie when it rains it pours.
  18. Great KINGY , Love to see big ones caught out of botany....Congratulations.
  19. Nice to hear the kinkgs are about....I went out yesterday(friday) also caught a Port Jackson to 10Kg looks as if we was spawning with the amount of GOOO that came out of him, aslo landed two shovel noze sharks and a ray. Got all the bottom dwellers i guess. POLICE boat was out checking all saftey gear on boats and seen them doing the checks at the ramp also.
