  1. Hi all, Ive had tinnies in the past and in built flotation was always packed in somewhere. Bar crusher boats don't seem to have any. Ive checked there web site and not much on safety, just how great it is.

  3. I got asked by a mate can King fish be caught at night, ive got them late afternoon and nearly dark but not in the middle of the night. ........
  4. You can try the bait grounds in yarra bay or the end of the break wall of Molly point.
  5. Well done, i was out there also and landed a King at 70cm ,tossed back a 60cm and got smoked by a huge one which made it around the chain of red maker boy in the shipping channel. Got them on strip squid on the a down rigger.
  6. Yea Light2k i can picture me finally setting the hook into a fish of a life time and then getting smoked on the 16N, the 40n would be the strongest outfit in my collection which is leaning me that way. Thanks for reply.......
  7. Well really have no idea as to which Trinidad should i place on this rod. I want it for a jigging outfit and its a tossup between the 16n or 40n narrow special models, it is a 24kg rod which amazes me for its small size around the butt.
  8. Hi there, Congrats on a such a top fish, by the looks of the location in the pics, kinda tells me its not a easy place to get down to the fishing platform. Those fish put on such a heavy weighted run that as the fight goes on some do come out worse for wear {eg. cuts to fins, blown out eye.} that you have to takem for the oven.
  9. Nice haul of sambos dude, ive found it hard to catch squid in yarra bay when the big Pike are swimming around the kelp beds. java script:emoticon('', 'smid_17')
  10. Top fish , must be very hard to put the brakes on him when he is on his big run. Isnt it great the Kingy traps are a thing of the past. Well done..............
  11. Hi all, the bay can be very quiet at times.Ive found when the weather is great and no wind except form my fishing mates guts it can be dead. Even on a full moon and the bigger tides i dont seem to do well. Ive also been told its the best time on big tides and full moon for the jewie fishos. Good luck on ur next day on the bay.
  12. Yes every one that was in the area got hooked up easy, even the guys working on the oil wharf had a go at them.Strange they got them on a x-mas tree lure.
  13. They did not take any lures just any bait, squid, pilly, white bait salted, peeled prawn.
  14. Hi all , Had a ball with a big school of kings in the bay today. They were so hungry they ate anything you can place on a hook. They were on the chew at the hot water outlet at kurnell. Fish size were 50cm to 65cm... lot more were tossed back in at 55cm. Hope these fish make botany there home sweet home for ever hehe.
