  10. I picked it up in the city and was crap scared that some fool would bump it and bust the tip off, very nervous bus ride.
  11. Picked up a Daiwa Procaster 7' 1 piece and a Regal Xi 2000 reel for a $100 , got to be happy with that. Having trouble with Acrobat file but will post pics when I get home. Cheers Evil

  16. Nice work Frizzy I'm yet to land a Jewie but your persistence gives me hope for the future. Cheers Evil
  17. Berkeley dropshots are about that price, I have a 7' rod (now 6'8" after my mate snapped the tip off) and am very happy with it. Cheers
  18. Excellent work, great photo you look pleased as punch. Cheers Evil
  19. I won a set of those floating plastic pliers with tungsten blades for cutting braid, pretty good. I usually howver use a set of sewing clippers however as they are small easy to handle and cut braid and mono (have no problems with 50lb braid and 60lb mono, haven't tried them on anything heavier). They also only cost $0.99 and are easily sharpened with the ezylap that I also keep in the tackle box to give hooks and knives the once over. I find them better than braid scissors. Cheers Evil
  20. Thanks Heath, nice job . Let us know what reel you eventually choose and hope to see the rod in some fishing reports soon.
  21. Heath please post us a picture of the rod you made, I'm taking up rod building this winter for when its too miserable to fish. Cheers Evil
  22. Looks really schmick Sammy, what line rating is the blank? Cheers Evil
  23. Having a few for the service people today. Especially my mate Gaz who is over in the Gaza Strip doing a tour as an international observer with a company of Columbians (kind of odd I thought, Australia and Columbia were not the first pairing I would think of working together in the Middle East). Lest we forget. Chris
