    Jury Duty

Imick, if you wear a footy jumper on the day you definately wont get picked, got that from someone that works there, but check paperwork as it may say in it that you cant wear that sort of thing...But front up as the fine is huge
  2. Will be taking the young bloke out for a fish(nearly 4) out on the hacking, looks like its going to be a good day out, i have a Bonito Half cab with blue bimini, keep your eye out for me and say hello if you see me out...Here's hoping we have a good day and the young fella catches a few, he loves fishing already Nath
  3. I would also drain the fuel bowl on the bottom of the carby as water will sit in the bottom there
  4. Some people have nothing better to do than complain, like some old people, keep up the good work Mrsswordfisherman, maybe if he had a rod in his hand rather than complaining behind the keyboard he may have a badge by now...Love the website, its informative, most people are helpful and all the stories are a great read..Keep up the good work and brush the complainers off!
  5. Have a great day Geoff, hope the weather is as good as today was, hope you catch some good fish
  6. so will there be potholes everywhere on the water to give us the same driving experience?
  7. Well done to the Fishraider team, just proves how good the website is!
  8. Awesome story and great catch, i'd love to see something like that being caught one day
  9. Good job, i have tried SP's but without success....I'll have to give them another go.
  10. Its a tough subject this one, i would glady pay alot more for a fishing licence if it meant more results, i have seen many fishing incidents where people are keeping undersize fish, like down at Audley on the weekend, it makes me sick. 4 months ago on the hacking i saw two people not from Aus originally(hope that does not sound racist) but they had dropped over ten crab pots all in a big line along a bank,(pots are illegal in port hacking) i was fishing close to one of their pots, they were giving me nasty gestures to GO AWAY. It was infuriating. I snorkel in port hacking and have done for 30 years now and have watched the decline of blue swimmers over the last 30yrs drop dramatically...In the distance i saw the waterways officer(Fiona) coming in her boat with a female fisheries officer on board, one by one they pulled up the pots and released the crabs, when they were ten feet away from my stern i said "im not stupid, they're not mine". They said they knew and proceeded over to the other boat , the fisheries officer spent about 2 mins on board, did no paperwork, released the crabs they had on board the fishing boat and left, they certainly did not give a fine out as i watched, im sure the two on board did the old "i speak no english routine". Something more certainly needs to be done to curb this problem, they need to work weekends from wharves, boatramps and fishing spots and have 2 weekdays off instead..They are very limited by funding from the government and very limited by the powers they have been given, then there are the safety issues in dealing with illegal fisherman..
  11. Thanks for the PM Mike....Your a legend
  12. Your name: Nathan Your Location:Sutherland Shire Fishing technique: Snapper and Kingies/anything larger than bream and whiting Availability: Weekends only Preferred location: Off Botany/Cronulla Provide your own gear? Have some gear but need instruction on what gear i need for offshore fishing, my gear is nearly all estuary gear Provide your own boat? I have a half cabin (16 foot bonito craft 90hp Johnson) Hi all i am a keen fisherman, i have my own boat however not too sure if its suitable for the kind of fishing i'd like to do..I normally stay in the rivers round home catching bream, whiting, flathead and blue swimmers but have been on a few flathead drifts offshore lately to no avail, i would love to catch something larger than what im used to. Im happy to join any trip leaving from anywhere in sydney, I dont get sea sick i have done many weeks to sea on tug boats and doing boat deliveries many years ago(used to work for Lewis tugs and Barges and Bass and Flinders cruises for 12 yrs), i am happy to chip in for fuel/bait and would appreciate if someone could give me an opportunity to go out with them on a weekend fishing trip and show me how to catch the above mentioned fish or anything larger than Bream..... Thanks Nathan

  16. Yep, i had troubles with Maritime too, it is their new horrid computer system, i had to wait in the office for 2hrs while they changed over my name on the papers and renew the rego, in the end they had to leave the old owner on the paperwork and could not give me the new rego sticker, they told me i'd recieve the new sticker in the mail, which i had to call them one month after my rego ran out and tell them i had no sticker....The paper work was all messy and they could not tell what or who now owned the boat.....aaaarrrgggghhhhh
  17. well done Cam, good fun those salmon, especially when they jump

  21. Ok, first time post(er)here, so bare with me... Yesterday i had a family luncheon on in penrith (im from the shire), before leaving i looked at the BOM website to look at the tidecharts, was dissapointed id miss the tide for pumping yabbies so that peeved me off, on the way back from the lunch at 4pm i stopped at macs bait bar and reluctantly forked out $10 for 30 nippers, which is something i normally get myself at no cost. Raced home from there and quickly readied the boat, as i was putting the bungs in, one of them broke off in my hand, the skin fitting was put in by the previous owner using steel screws....AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH...The bit that is permantly fixed to the boat was now not in their, i used alot of silicone and rotated and re-drilled the holes as quick as i could and set off. I got out on the port about 545pm and raced towards the nipper banks because i now realised the BOM site was wrong with the tides(daylight savings)..Pumped some nippers and headed off to my favourite run in tide spot, moved around a bit as i was not getting much, then after 3 moves i went back to my favourite spot again I put three rods out and got 3 hookups all at once, one was good and was setting off my drag whisteling as the line peeled off, one rod had a squire, another had a black bream and the other had a whopper whiting that measured 48cm, a pb for me, Yay, By 930pm i had 2 of these monsters at 48cm and 47cm in the swimmer and 3 good bream...It was a good afternoon /evening fish, at 10 pm i moved the boat and went to sleep up sth west arm for a peaceful nights sleep..I slept well knowing i had a good feed of fish...it was a good night
  22. Looks like your oing a great job, good painting too
