  7. Thanks for the feedback guys, I am yet to find a good place which sells neoprene pants, only the full wetsuit. Any dive shops around the penrith area? I ended up getting adrenilin neoprene rock booties which have rubber coated metal studs underneath. Cheers
  8. Badluck mate, We thought the same thing and hit dee why last night. I only got one bait in the water and left. The current was running so hard i thought my bait was in clovelly lol. We had to put our gear up near the grass the swell was that big. We saw another few blokes fishing but i think they had the same issue. No good gutters either, i guess we should have tried narrabeen.
  9. oh nice, did you see me mate? nah mate i released everything. my mate kept one snapper. might see you back down there, good spot !
  10. lol i can never figure fish out, they are like women
  11. Hi Guys, My first time hitting up clifton gardens. Every report i read of the place suggests there are hoards of people but good fish. Got there just before 530 and started flicking blood worm wrigglers. Got a few taps but was hard fishing with the wind blowing in my face. My mate came down later and bought some bait so we chilled and threw a line out. I cant remember the last time bait fishing so was actually a nice change. We managed quite a few undersized snapper, the most memorable fish being a 32cm bream, 30cm snapper and a good sized flattie. Its a great little spot, it did get rather busy but i was very pleased to see everyone respecting each other, the bag and size limit. I did notice the rocky point to the right of the wharf. Has anyone fished this point? and what can I expect here? Cheers, Stan
  12. looks like a banded rock cod aka bar cod. they normally caught pretty deep though
  13. Hi Guys, Been getting gear prepped for the cooler months to chase kingies etc off the rocks. I want to get serious about safety this year and would like some feedback on what I intend on wearing: 8MM Neoprene wet suit pants Neoprene booties with metal and rubber spikes on the bottom (frm BCF) Long sleeve t - shirt Waterproof jacket (this jacket is the same as the one on the rock fishing video on the right hand side of fish raider) scarf (face glove type) Beanie if too cold Ultra PFD (Type 2 6kg upward thrust) - This is the same PFD i use when kayaking. I have my eyes on a set of water proof leg waders however; feedback from raiders has put me off them (filling up with water etc). Is there anything else I should be considering? Cheers
  14. hey mate just about to buy the 13 foot sensor surf. I have an existing saltist 6500h matched to a 12 foot aerowave. its a great combo. I will be using a ci4 thunnus 8000 on the sensor. I am also buying the 8 foot bait caster for rock fishing drummer etc. Will let you know how i go. buying up all these combos to hit stockton in the near future lol
