Mapu, All the fish were caught using baited rigs. I havent tried SP's at night, not sure how effective it is. Where in north curl curl do you fish? Wouldnt mind heading up there for a bit of a fish if alrite. gday Chris, yea there are alot of rats down there and a few even tried to run off with my bait lol. I saw a few albino rats too! Ive been there during the day as well, and I also have caught nothing. Looks alrite for squid too. Wouldnt mind setting in a tinnie and drift around in the deeper water, mite come up with some bigger fish like a pack of lost king fish!

hi hi Raiders just a quick report about my night down at Little Manly. I got there just before 7.30pm and set up rods. These Polish guys come down and set up right next to me! But luckily there was plenty of fish for all of us. Hooked up 2 good sized bream within 10 minutes. and the rest of the night was after tailor. Beautiful night with the tide coming in and just a slight breeze with a full moon and a beautiful scene of the city. You could hear the tailor jumping around, and nearly every cast was a fish on the end. I lost about 4-5 fish then switched to a metal lead and the fish just kept coming! I only stayed for about 2.5 hours, would have loved to fish the high tide but I got my quick fix! Kevin

Is it illegal to fish from man made lakes such as bella vista? would help out the waterways by fishing out a few and wat is the best time to go? I think it would feel a little weird fishing from somewhere so unorthodox as those places... i dont know how you all feel about it, its just wat i think. Like to hear your comments.

I know this may be a little off topic, but does anyone know what kind of fish they put in man made lakes or waterways (if they put any in at all)? I ask this because I was Bella Vista ice rink the other day, and walked outside and there is a small lake where people were practicing remote control yachts. Anyways, I threw some food in the water and a few minutes later some quite large fish (looked like carp) took the food. I saw at least 10 of them, with heaps of small fish in the water as well. whoever made this lake, and put carp in there is certainly not helping the "carp being a pest problem". Is it legal to fish them out from local lakes such as that?

gday davy -im at the city campus. Mite see you around sometime. Gibbo - hows the boat ride from La perouse to Botany? ive never been out on a boat by myself before, so a little unsure how I will handle it. I know heading out from Brighton is fairly smooth.

hi fellow raiders just let you know what Ive been up to. Went down to Botany Bay at the entrace of the cooks river early sunday morning. Fishing at the end of the rocks. Ive been down there a few times and there is an italian guy down there all the time. Using some squid bought from Kyeemagh Bait & Tackle, first caught a few baby snapper and a few small bream. Then while i was re rigging my girlfriend's line, a see my rod bending slightly, I thought it was just the wind, and kept looking and it keeps going bend bend! im like to my gf, ill be right back, pulled in a nice looking bream, close to 1kg. Other things i caught: 1 baby octopus, 1 30cm tailor a few yakkas... a plastic bag and a bloody boat that took my line for a spin! but it was a good day out.
