gday MrGenius nice looking trev. how far down did go down the breakwall? whenever i fish there, i go right out to the end of the wall. caught my pb trev there a while ago, went 1.3kg. ive also seen salmon caught there funny enough.

i just bought a smilin jack lure yesterday. had a very nice gold tinge to it. 7g jack spat. hope to give that a go soon.

just remembered, slimies are also good for curries. Fry the fish first, then let it soak in the curry, with ocra and other veges... do we have FR chefs? hehehe

Smallish yellow tail thats deep fried and extra crispy is nice, not too sure bout the slimeys, prolly bested grilled with lemon and tomato and black pepper....

very nice ep, getting hungry looking at it. lol speaking bout black fish, i was down at culburra on the wkend, didnt get to do much fishing but there were some people braving the conditions fishing for blackies. I also saw the alveys out in force with their floats. It was really windy though so not sure how well it would have fished. A tackle shop was selling the weed for $10/kg. is that cheap ? I've never seen this weed in the wild, so not sure how to get it. Is this weed difficult to get, or should i just buy it? fyi im asking this because im heading back down to Culburra in a few weeks time, so would like to hear what the raiders think about this.
