  3. Hi all, I have a friend in the Campbelltown area that would like to take her son for a quick, easy fish. I suggested to start off in one of the local ponds as it should be easy and fun. My question is.. does anyone know of a pond in the Narellan area where she might be able to go? Thanks
  4. Just wondering what type of sharks you saw mate?? Good catch on a tough day!!
  5. Nice fish lads!! Get a longer pole for the under water video though
  6. Troll for something else.... That always works
  7. FAD??? What FAD??? What are you talking about?? They were just three buoys floating in the ocean LMAO!!!!!!
  8. Are you talking about the funny shaped thing on the fisheries chart?
  9. Nice catch! What is the funny looking thing on the fisheries chart at the bottom of the screen?
  10. Just out of curiosity what are Miya Epoch x8's worth over there mate?
  11. Have you tried this or is it in theory? I think 20lb would probably wear through on the way down. I would like a line to get me down there and hold on for 10 or so minutes and then snap off so as to hold the bait in the "zone" for a while.
  12. I was just wondering if anyone ever fishes with bricks setup on a breakaway system. I was thinking of tying 2 or 3 commons together and then attaching them directly with mono. My theory is thay the sharp edges of the bricks will wear through the mono and they will just fall to the bottom. The only thing I have to figure out is what strength line to tie the sinkers on with to get them down and hold on for 10 or 15 min (enough time to complete a drift) and then snap off. Does anyone do anything like this? Any thoughts on whether the idea might work by people who fish the mountain would be greatly appretiated
  13. I am assuming his spool was empty and when he finally went tight with no drag/line left the fish snapped off. He probably recovered all his line to the swivel,
  14. I am planning on going for a fish on Friday and i am keen to hook up to one of these big sharks that are swimming around. I was planning on using a live salmon or tailor for bait but i was wondering where my best chance would be of hooking one? Any help or recent sightings would be greatly appretiated.
  15. Awesome!!!!! Absoloutely awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. What sort of sharks are we talking about?
  17. The narrower bodies and thinner heads kind of give it away as well
  18. Well done on the squid. I think you will find they were that aggressive because the two on the right are arrows which are much more aggressive than southerns.
  19. Sounds good. When you say the wave buoy, is that the one just inside North Head or the wave rider a few klms out?
  20. I have caught my fair share of sharks in the past but that Mako really got me fired up. For me fishing is all about setting and achieving goals and it is always so much more satisfying doing it in my own boat even though i regularly fish in friends boats that are much bigger and "better" than mine. I hope to land one from my boat before years end so any help would be greatly appretiated as i really only get to fish once a fortnight or so
  21. I was wondering if anyone knows whether they are a viable target at this time of year ( inshore i mean, within a couple of klm of the coast) as i was thinking of getting out on tuesday and setting a berley trail and fishing with more appropriate gear.
  22. Ive given it a go lets see if it worked. I checked your e mail adress and it was the same??
  23. The photos are rather boring compared to the story but i just sent them jim. Thanks again
