they are more of daytime feeder,i have found anyway,i was out last week fishing,as soon as it got late in the arvo they were no longer a pest to our baits.also when the water is clear it is more likely that they would be around,dirty water ,i havent had a problem with them during the day

the other da when i went fishing, i met a fellow raider which told me about someone catching a 71cm snapper,may be the same person

i was out there on thursday and i sawa few whales swim right near my boat,have even got video footage of it

i went out yesterday with a few mates and caught a few leatheries , i let them keep it all.mates threw small ones back not before slicing them in half as burley hehe and all the big ones were kept,hope this could help a little to get rid of the pests.

same thing happened to me last week.

snapper are often on the edge of a reef ,if you fish on the reef ,you will get crap fish such as wrasse,poor mans lobster and sargeant baker. snapper are often 1 to 2 metres off the bottom.

you gotta love hill 60.plenty of bonnies can be caught from there as well as good size snapper as well as kings

start the shallower water early morning and work your way throughout the day. i caught my snapper on bait in the arvo in 16metres of water,snapper was 1.8 kilo. was talking to a local of nelson bay , him and his 2 sons went out fishing for snapper and he caught 1 on bait while his 2 sons caught 10 on sp,s

go the trophy centre console. will never get any other type of boat again. will never reret it,stable is unbelievable.

i went out yesterday in hope to get a few snappers. there were leatheries everywhere.we tried sp and the got munched,snapper rigs which lost a few,sinker,etc. we tried different spots all to day to no luck,they were everywhere from outside botany heads to woollongong. managed a gummy shark,5 legal snappers,3 big squid,kept 2 leatherjackets to give to my neighbour.

yeah i am sammy but change of plans now,might go jigging for kings instead. doesnt look to promising for yellow fin at browns.
