thanks mrs flight manager. just got mr bday pressie off my mrs, yet to be released,i guess im the first,the daiwa interline 7 ft rod,has no guides with a daiwa exceler 4500j reel backed with spider braid,perfect for kings and snapper. will post pics of the combo later

i have witnessed as well as seen and caught kings all hours of the day,no specific time,but best early morning and late arvo. i have caught them on pillies,yakkas,slimies,squid and even the good old penguin prawn.

what baits were you using ,floaters or down deep.

we were chasing the outside the heads last week,we hooked onto one on a tiny soft plastic ,and i mean small soft plastic which cr@zy faridation nearly got spooled so i had to motor to the fish as he gained his line back only to snap the hook,he was using 6pound line hehe

i was at long reef 2 days ago and there was not one lj in sight,we boated a huge flattie and had a hook up on a small mako but busted me off,did a couple of jumps which was the highlight of the day,there were salmon at bluefish point

well done.i was thinking of hitting long reef today,instead wewent to the bay and caught smaller snappers which were released,not one leather jacket was aroung which was good
