    Old stuff

I just want to ad to the above. We had a corner store & if you were a regular customer you would buy a bag of broken biscuits for 1p & a bag of lollies for 3p. Saturday afternoons you could go to the movies for 5p. I would go shopping for my Mother to the local butcher with my pet dog beside me. Take him into the butcher's shop,no problem. The butcher would give him a large bone free. These days dogs are banned from shops & if you want a dog bone you have to pay for it. Cheers.
  2. The whole NSW Team never gave up. Cody & Best were two of the standouts in the game. Cheers.
  3. @Larkin If you want some real action go Rock fishing. Cheers.
  4. Nice Kingie. Top photos. Well done.
  5. State of Orgin. How good was NSW. So much for the non believers. I went to the game. The noise was deafening when NSW scored their first try & the cheering didn't stop. Super night.
  6. Arrived around Sunrise. Just before low tide. Back to school Monday for the Boys, It was cold. Started ok. 2 nice bream. Went quite, a few throwbacks under size. We ended up with 2 more bream & 3 bonito. The boys were happy & Puppy will be happy. The boys are under age so they can't drive yet, but they love rock fishing. Their Mothers are not impressed. Off to Norah Head Cafe for breakfast. Going to the State of Orgin tonight, with my Daughter. A friend gave her two corporate tickets he had spare. NSW to win. Cheers.

    Old stuff

I was a paper boy. We lived at Ryde in those days & the local Newspaper shop gave me a job selling papers of a morning before I went to school. It was at the cnr. of Blaxland & Devlin two main roads & busy way back then. I talked the owner into giving me a afternoon run, Nth. of the Ryde bridge outside the old Coca Cola factory. It turned into a gold mine. People would come off the bridge & stop & buy papers & magazines. When I left school at 15 I was offered a job with a company & they wanted to pay me less than I was earning with my paper runs. For those who follow Motor Racing the News agency was owned by Bill Brown's Grandfather. Bill was the driver who rolled his Falcon GTHO on the fence at the 1971 Bathurst 1000 The good old days. Cheers.
  8. I use to water ski in that area, many moons ago. Made sure I stayed on my ski.. Great memories. Cheers.
  9. Fished there a long time a go with bait. Bass & bream. Just a note. Didn't the bridge cop the floods last year & was damaged ? Good luck.
  10. Titans V Dolphins. Tip game. Dolphins by a penalty.
  11. Top report. Super photos.

  16. ST. George V Raiders. Top game. ST. George played well for once. When ST.George won 11 Premierships. Thank God there was no bunker.

  18. I have the same ones as @XD351 has when I owned a 115hp Johnson. They work ok.
  19. Tigers V Sharks. Tigers were going ok. Sharks to strong. Bunker strikes again.
  20. @Green Hornet Thanks for the advice on the rod. 13ft. Very light. Lots of power. Was on special, which was a bonus. Reel is a bit heavy, but I have 4 of these Fin-Nor's & they take a belting & never fail. A guy told me he caught a Marlin on the LT100 model. Super tough. Cheers.
  21. Top haul again. Well done.
