  1. Im not sure about the flush thing u are talking about, but i have seen a bottle/jar thingy you add to the side of the muffs, you fill it with a flushing agent that helps eliminate corrision within the motor. Apart from that the main thing is a good freshwater wash in and out. I guess there are plenty of other tips that raiders will add
  2. Thats what i would have thought !! but seeing as it was a factory setup i presummed it was the norm, altho knowing it didnt seem right to me. Jeez it wasnt that many years ago when this was built , its unbelieveable they had so manny things wrong. This is just one of several things i have picked up from a reputable boat builder.
  3. Just a question regarding normal Nav lights set up. Well firstly my boat is built in the mid 90?s and to get the lights to work you need the ignition on .... So with the light switch with IGNITION ON you pull out 1 click to get red/green nav lights and a 2nd click to get rear anchor/rear white light on .. So my questions are .... 1. Is that a normal setup ? 2. And is it a good idea to have the ignition always on 3. if i was at anchor the current set up means id need all 3 lights on . .. I think it would be normal to have at least white light first then when under steam to 2nd click to full Navs.. What is the norm amoungst the Reg boaters here ? Thanks

  7. Id go the 475 quinny , id even look around as id reckon you could get a later model for 15k if you remain patient.
  8. You could also consider a cuddy cabin as opposed to a half cabin, they provide an undercover area if needed without wasting a lot of space like some half cabins . They used to make some nice Bermuda cuddies which looked sporty as well as being very practical for fishing. My mates 16ft one used to handle and ride like a dream even in some very hairy conditions.

  10. Dont freak out it doesnt sound at all like anything major, the fact it starts after a rest shows signs of flooding to me. I can recomend a mobile marine mechanic if you cant see Huey , just pm me.
  11. HOLY CR#P that thing could drag my boat across the Blue Mountains lol. I wouldnt have have to much issue building it but i do wonder where you could source the parts and also a total build cost . But it looks brilliant as far as doing the job , thats for sure !
  12. What about that product called " Wet an Forget" ? http://www.wetandforget.com.au/wetforget.htm
  13. Heres a motorised jockey wheel i made for around $70 , the wheel tends to slip a bit but if i or someone stands on the front of the boat it gets traction and works fine up a reasonably step driveway.
  14. How much did the seat cushions set you back ? I am planning something similar and keen to know in advance the sort of dollars they charge. Thanks Great job by the way
