Nah, I don't get paid until tomorrow so I missed the sale. Gonna keep my eye on the Wicked Weasel though! You find the Fishfest details alright?

    Cheers,

    Wellzy

I did. But unfortunately the misus has me booked up already.

Went back this morning, had a couple of little hits but no hook ups, kept moving down the path and casting.

Threw my lure and just twitched it a few times and boom i was on! I honestly felt like it was waaaay bigger than it was, i had to tighten my drag pretty tight and it definitely was fighting hard, i knownow why people love to target bass they put up such a good fight. Definitely fought harder than any bream i have ever caught in my life i was impressed haha loving the bass, very fun fighting fish. Would love to see how they go once there over the 1kg mark it would be crazy

Didnt measure i wanted to put him straight back in the water but my lure is 40mm if that gives a rough estimate.

I must be in the wrong spots then, my worms always get sniped by pesky eels...

Only a few resident eels where I usually fish for bass. Scare the absolute s#^$ out of you when they swim right up by the yak.

Often when I've seen an eel hanging in a certain area I'll get zero hits from bass. Territorial perhaps.

  4. A bass is a bass. Great work.

Rick is right. Got to be right in there to get them. And once those trebles are around a small branch. Ouch!!

Good on ya Wellzy for imparting some knowledge. The cicadas seem to be the go at the moment.

    Cheers

  5. Sounds like you're doing everything right mate. I've not fished these areas so can't help with the eel situation.

Zman grubs are great for bream and the paddle tails are great for flatties.

Keep at it and something will click. Hopefully someone else can shed some light on the eels.

    Cheers

  6. Welcome to Fishraider Sean,

Im sure there are lots of members who can give you a few tips.

What kind of fishing are you doing? Bait, soft plastics? Where have you tried already?

Any water is worth a try in my opinion, but cant say i know any spots that will guarantee a couple of fish.

You could try the cooks, jump off the train at Tempe or get the bus down to the end of glebe point road and head down to blackwattle bay. These places are pretty close to you. Both of these places are catch and release.

There is more info on fishraider than you can probably ever read. Use the search function up the top once you have found an area that you think looks good and see what other people have had success with.

Good luck and I hope we get some reports of great captures soon.

    Cheers

    Tara
