    Boxing versus UFC

From what I've seen from watching both guys fight Mayweather better avoid Getting hit flush by Connor as he has power and a good chin. His has tank isn't too bad for a mma fighter.Mayweather is very fast and likes to get in and out real quick but I think you'll find Connor will close off the ring.Iv'e learnt you better have power to go with that speed otherwise it's goodnight when someone with power lands that clean flush shot that has a good chin too. It can go either way but what I do know is both their bank accounts will be much healthier afterwards. In a boxing fight Mayweather would be the favourite and vice versa in a mma fight Mayweather would be destroyed. Lets see what happens.
  3. That happens on every site mate. Some would say they are the smart ones. Have a look at any given time on this site or most others and you'll see there's usually always more guests than members looking at it. I have been a member of several sites over the years and you'd get the usual people fretting about someone taking their "Secret" fishing spot which where well known spots. It's like saying Mainbar is my secret yabby pumping spot and getting upset over someone else there knowing full well that the place has been known since god was a boy. Plenty of spots where fished before we ever knew about them I guess is what I'm saying but I understand your frustration also mate at people leaching information without putting in the hard yards. Cheers.
  4. You start early. What where you doing at the pub at that time?Having a liquid breakfast? You need to try to find the key hole in the crouched position. If that doesn't work go prone.
  5. That's easy, tell her that she doesn't have time for that while she's doing the laundry, ironing, cooking, cleaning etc, etc.See ,I'll give you relationship advice that works every time. Oh,I forgot to mention that there's a slight chance that you may have a black eye for a while,be making your own food, doing your own ironing and missing out on some adult bedroom activity for a little while. But surely it's worth it isn't it?I've learnt to duck to avoid the black eye and haven't found a solution to the rest as yet but am working on it. Ask any of the guys on here and even Donna and Rah would agree us men are the Boss always. Now I've confused myself mate and not sure if this is reality or a dream.Lol.
  6. Next you'll need to make one of these Rah. Also make sure whatever you use the brackets/hardware are secured firmly. Cheers.
  7. There's no goals, I already told you.Repeat after me.I'm the boss followed by a lightning quick,"yes dear"lol.
  8. The beer fridges where the first things that went in my shed when I built it.Yes I have 2.A man needs a back up to keep his liquid energy cold if one breaks down. There is a small downside though, the power bill.
  9. I think you blokes need to man up and slap the wife around showing her who's boss.Just tell her I'm the boss not you.Don't take no for an answer. Ok I'm going to the shed now with my berley,my slow cooker,my deep frier,my blanket......I'm going to be there a while. At least the dog will have company.
  10. I'm with all the others.Top stuff there with some fantastic eating mate.

    Glass boat flooring?

I would break like safety glass but remain in one piece due to the lamination process. The reflection index is very low on this type of glass as it's opaque on the topside due to the etching process. Here's a photo of it again.Think frosted glass. The shinier photo above is the underside and the more dull/matt finish below is the topside.Hopefully you can see there's quite a bit of difference. I can make it using the same glass in 5,52mm,6,52,mm,8,52,10,52 or a combination of whatever I want as I can custom laminate it to my needs. like I said I'll give it more thought and then decide. If not I'll just more than likely redo the floor in ally or ply properly this time. Cheers.

    Glass boat flooring?

I've done it before, will give it some more thought as the weight is worrying.

    Glass boat flooring?

Again valid points. The floor will be floating and not rigid with rubber surround and rubber base supports. Its also checker plate none slip etched glass that even wet feet grip on.99% of the time we all have footwear on.I have looked at some of the other options you mention. You can never bite of more than you can chew mate.I call that failing. The glass is also free and so is the machinery to process it as I work in glass. The heat would be an issue if wearing no footwear yes. Glass weighs more than timber etc for the same thickness/dimensions as it is a lot more dense.(Saves gym costs for me). The flex has been taken into account. I proved you wrong almost 20yrs ago when I glass floored my old boat even though it was a little bigger at 17ft without issues in the 4yrs or so I owned it. My main worry is the weight effecting the stability,Balance etc of my boat as it will add substantial weight to the hull. I can tell you I wouldn't recommend the crappy plywood floors from factory to my worse enemy. The more it think about it the more I don't like it in a small boat but I've still for time to ponder. Once again thanks for everyone's thoughts.

    Glass boat flooring?

    Valid points there mate.
  15. Thinking of making new glass boat flooring for my tinny with this laminated glass but am a little worried about weight issues in a small boat. Won't have to worry about rot/warpage etc and does look nice. yay or nay?Thoughts.
  16. At my place I'd end up in the garage with the slow cooker.Permanently.
  17. I'm with the other guys that I've always caught them as by catch drifting the sand flats for flattys.I may be wrong but I have always caught them in the warmer seasons like spring/summer. Whats the ideal season for them anyway anyone?Do they completely shut down or slow down in the cooler seasons?I don't recall we've catching one at those times.
  18. I've still got the yellow jig head and fluro green grub he caught it on somewhere in my goody stash in the shed.My son and I came across it not long ago when I gave him a hiding playing darts and he remembered it well.
  19. I guess, but I still wish I could be much better with my English skills particularly in the punctuation and expressing myself department.
  20. You couldn't have said it any better mate. You really have a way with words.
  21. Great story mate as I can relate to when my son was his age to a similar scenario.I use to fish the river every weekend almost when my son was only around his age. This particular day we put one of those mister twister lures on a light rod to keep him busy when he's calling out to us,"I've got one mummy"While we both echoed good boy while we both had fish on and not looking at him when all of a sudden the mrs cops a flapping flathead to the back of the war and we realise he indeed did have one.He was so proud of himself and so where we as that fish was his first solo effort and we still talk about it know that he's 23 years old like it was yesterday. Now fishraider is staying I look forward to reading your adventures with the little guy and pop. You guys will do the same for years to come. cheers.
  22. Great to hear guys.In regards to people commenting on membership fees, there's a well known Qld based fishing forum that charge membership that has been around for years. They range from free membership for a basic package to having to pay for a premium package to access the entire site.Perhsps something like this would be a better option as I too have noticed with many Forums that when there's money involved people simply lose interest. Again great to hear the news thus far. Fabian.
  23. Well done mate!Hopefully it helps you reel them in.
  24. I will miss putting up posts to help others.(especially in the workshop) I will miss reading the fishing reports.I too love reading Big Neils,Yowies, fragmeisters etc. Myself and my family are far from being great fisher persons but I have learnt more from this forum than what I could possibly learn in a lifetime on my own and have built up an archive for future reference that I've saved. I will miss having this forum to look forward to on my lunch breaks. The regrets I have with this Forum is that I haven't been able to get out as much as I would like to be able to put up some more fishing reports. I regret not being able to make it to the socials due to work commitments family etc. I regret not being able to meet you all in person, fishing with you etc due to the above reasons. Even though I have never met any one on here I know that I have helped many on here as much as many have helped me and that i guess is what a great site like this is all about. Like you Scratchie I'll leave it there as someone's cutting onions. I wish everyone the best and hope there will be another great Forum like this in the future. Fabian.
  25. I hate to say it,but I suspect us as members where a big part of the sites demise.Like I said in my posts on the site becoming stagnant I'm not surprised it's come to this and I blame all of us members big time for it. Others may feel differently. Thanks Donna,Stewy, moderators, etc for a terrific site and all the long hours, work etc that was put into it. I leave this site knowing that I learnt a lot from people's post etc and hope others have learnt something from mine. As big Arnie would say,Asta la vista baby and there certainly will be a void on my phone in my free time. Cheers.
