  1. Thats it....i'm moving north. They are some very nice fish.... :wank: Very well done...
  2. Have you got those magnet lures watto??? Apparently when you cast the lures the magnet go towards the back of the lure, through gravitational forces, to give further casting ability, and once the lure settles the magnet is attracted back to the front of the lure for correct movement through the water...
  3. I wonder if you can hire a room there.... http://static.iftk.com.br/mt/2007/03/five_...austria_17.html

  5. Mate, i didnt even feel it go in. It hurt when i got the plyers and tried to reef it out, but it was more annoying than anything. When you've got salmon bustin up the surface who cares about a little hook anyway...
  6. So A through default??? If i pick up someone elses rod i always offer it to them... So if A refuses to take the rod then its B's fish.

  10. The salmon are schooling up at the moment around broken bay. They are not hard to find, just watch out for birds. Make sure you are confident with your boat before you start venturing out to broken bay. You'll get to know the area well enough when you get out there yourself.
  11. When i rang the coast guard last year to ask him about licences for a vhf he said that you didnt need a licence if its in a recreation boat.
  12. This is what happened to my share of tailor, beer battered. I ate 1 salmon last night with 3 more filleted and frozen. Shared the rest around family and friends.
  13. Thanks mondo... I was going to take a pic and i dont know why i didnt. All ive got now is one boring stitch.
  14. We headed out to broken bay saturday arvo and spent about 3-4 hours at the back of lion island. There only one pike was caught. It seemed as soon a we got a bight we got a snag. I had enough of getting snagged so off to barrenjoey head we went. The rest of darkness was spent at barrenjoey for 3 PJ sharks both topping a metre. In the morning we threw a lure over the back and went for a troll looking for surface activity and birds working. Didnt take us long to find them on the east side of lion island. We had a school of sambos and tailor to ourselves. Early in all the fun i was trying to get a lure out of a sambo and a treble hook embedded into my finger. But the show must go on. We managed to bag out on sambos averaging about 65 cm's and also got a heap of tailor around the 35 to 40cm mark. Alot of smaller tailor were released though. Although i had a treble hook hanging out the side of my finger for practically the whole day, it was a another top day on the water.
  15. I've heard of people re-joining with no problems at all using that shrink wrap stuff to make sure its sealed tight. I'd give that a go before spending big money on a new transducer which can be almost as expensive as a new unit.
  16. It was a fun game...best fishing game i've played yet. I'm glad you enjoyed, it. Hope you get the feeling back in your hand before you hit the water next....lol.
  17. Its hard to get used to, but a bit addictive once you get the hang of it. Read the instructions and see the bloke sitting down in the tavern. I got him his 4 pound catfish, now he wants a trout or salmon over 7 pounds. Fishing game
  18. He must of been on something to even think about that....hang on a minute..
  19. I dont think i was on prospect highway...not with the boat anyway, lmao. Maybe the missus is taking the boat out without telling me.
  20. I will host the segment of how to tangle lines, drop things over the side of the boat, and sitting in one spot for hours without being "disturbed" by fish... Would be worthy of the comedy channel i think Lol...j/k, sounds like a good idea.
  21. Hi xib... no i didnt notice... we were in XT-SEA.. And jewgaffer, we might of used the petrol to start the fire so we can cook them. If you ever get a wrasse, keep it and cook him up, you'll be suprised. You cant freez them though as they go a bit brown, but still ok to eat. One of the guys on that came out with us had a whole lot of family over from over seas, so they were all eaten that night.
