  3. I think so... As soon as the over heads became available he was using them... I only remember him using the over heads.
  4. I use the spray on preen... Just dont tell the ... Costs a bit of money apparently.
  5. My grandfather was around the 200m mark... was the 2nd furthest caster in australia in a competition held about 20 years ago. When i fished with him on the beach back then i used to take my bait out on a surf board just so i can be about the same distance as him.. He actually casted out a maltese terrier about 100m one time (accidently) after it tried to eat his bait just as he was about to cast.
  6. Looks like the closest dealers are in gosford or wollongong.
  7. I have used a couple of different bright hand held lights (like the one in pic), and it seems to only make the vision worse... The only reason i carry those lights at night is to look for buoys of crab nets... I usually go by the reflections off the water and my knowledge of the river system to navigate at night...not to mention waterways markers. I dont believe that headlights will show anything under the water, such as a log or rock. Just make sure you know the area like the back of your hand before you go out at night. By the way, you can pick up the lights at bias or watto and huey may even supply them. untitled1.bmp

    Wingnuts

Wing nuts are notorious for coming loose and can cause the terminals to heat up... Better off going with the nylock nuts...
  10. He might have sails somewhere on his boat....
  11. He just refilled the boat....
  12. Like i said...in my opinion. I rate bream and snapper on par with each other.. A couple of days ago i cooked a Crimson-banded Wrasse, Sargeant Baker and a bream... To my suprise, the baker was the nicest, followed by the wrasse and a distant 3rd was the bream. I'm no taste expert though.
  13. I travelled just under 100km last weekend and used about 120L..... You would be able to go over 500kms on 120L of petrol.... Im envious...
  14. I'm sure ive seen a raider cut off all the tails of his fish so it would fit on the plate... Maybe this one got away from him..
  15. The wrasse are great eating.... better than bream and snapper in my opinion...
  16. Might be a good idea to check out what huey has in stock.... He has some very nce boats for sale at very reasonal prices.
  17. LMAO ..... I love that episode.. Nice conditions out there...the fish are a bonus when its like that.
  18. I think you are right CDF... Didnt even notice until you pointed it out..
  19. I saw a Mako at hueys the last time i was there, he had one for sale.... im sure he will be able to shed a bit of light for you. They look very nice indeed.
  20. At least it would start... Thats filthy(good)...
  21. Sergeant Baker is right in the middle...... above the crimson wrasse.
  22. Headed to Mooney Mooney boat ramp on sunday at about 3:00 to find it was as busy as Pitt st. Was in the water though within 20 minutes. First stop was Mullet creek to drop off the crab nets and see if there was any bream around the oyster leases. Caught a few small bream, whiting and taylor. We decided then to fish the deeper water in between Dangar island and Mullet creek. This is where the first decent fish hit the boat.... ~TaNgLeS~ (another member) pulled in 2 bream, 1st one at 25cm 2nd at 30cm. Then we decided to go after that elusive big jew under the road bridge while we waited for another mate to turn up at the ramp. Fished the top of the tide for a few cat fish and eels... The clock struck 12am and we were off to check the crab nets.. 2 decent blue swimmers. Over to Juno for 2 or 3 hours and caught absolutly nothing. In between 3 and 4am i thought we might try to pick up some squid at Barrenjoey. Fished it for about an hour with not luck with the squid so i thought i might throw over a prawn. After 2 casts i caught a wopper of a bream at 42cm. From there we were off to Boultons reef.. The wind picked up so we decided to climb in the cabin for a rest until the sun came up. We then fish a few reefs North of broken bay (we'll call this our spot x ) . Got a 65 cm Sergeant Baker yummy. Then ~TaNgLeS~ caught a 33 cm snapper. Another 6 wrasse were caught and we decided to call it a day.. Picked up another 2 Blue Swimmers on the way back. Top night and day on the water....
  23. I've caught them off small peices of prawn there too. Chance of catching different species too... Well done..
