Hey guys just thought I would post this because I have been brain f*cked by it literally 4 people I have come across speaking about yellow tails or also known as yakkas have said that they grow to be king fish is this true? My opinion is that they are two different species I just want to see what everyone on here thinks and if what these people are saying is actually true!

Went out the other night to flick my rod a bit try catch some squid I sat there for like 3 hours and I think due to the wether lately with all this rain the water is really murky and making it really hard or is it because of winter it has made our chances decrease? If anyone has an answer please do reply to this I want to see thoughts and if you are having luck don't mind if you share them round even if you inbox cheers!

Nice! Well I service once a year just grease up the inside of the reel I'll be sure to do the same for this one. It should be ok if it stuffs up after two years not a problem just get a new one haha but yer Sydney fish you don't need to use wire at all.

It will cost you more to repair than buying a new one, how come it bent?

I was thinking you only use that for fish with teeth that have the ability to bite through your line. Kingfish just suck it all up and off they go!

Hey guys going fishing this weekend as I do every week just wanted to post this and see what areas are having the most success in Sydney I'm aiming to get a jew fish I usually go to greenwhich and abbotsford wharves so I'm looking for a new place that has a good source of jew fish and bream as well as other species. Thinking of getting there around 6pm and fishing till the early morning does any one have any suggestions? If so either inbox me or post on here please also just areas around Sydney for now I'm sick of fishing at my usual spots as they tend to get packed with idiots who don't know how to fish by the way a good source of squid would be good there as well thanks guys!

I think it's a solid rod the Asian guys that go fishing there use the same one and they pull up big fish with it and no hassles at all! But yer I have seen it in action so should be good thanks for commenting.

Just remove your spool and give it a wash on its own while down any water inside the reel and that's all every year do a service on it and you will be right trust me always work for me and never had a problem.

Well so far I spent only $70 on my new reel that's because my friend pitched in half as a gift for my self I don't know max I would like to spend would be $150.00 on a descent size beach rod that would do the job

I posted the topic on the type of line by the way and I'm also going to buy a pelagic 13ft rod from burwood on the weekend from a shop called yellow tail it's a really solid make and comes in yellow he sells it for $120.

King fish as my friend usually does and we cast on a 15-20 metre drop so I need something strong considering the fact that I'm pulling up atleast 7- 13kgs.

Hey guys just bought my new penn 9500 reel! Really excited to use the thing as my other one stuffed up on me just asking I'm going around the cliffs at watsons bay and wanted to know what line to use on this reel? I was thinking 60 pound mono with 90pound leader any other suggestions?
