Hi Guys, Went out Saturday 26th for a quick squid session, used 2.5 - 3.0 Yamashita bright coloured and natural coloured jigs, we managed nothing for two hours straight so we packed up and went home for the night. I was wondering if anyone has any different techniques for this area that I could try next time? Tight Lines Zac

Yea same concept but each to their own, I find using the spikes attracts bigger squid as they love to each the real stuff whereas the jigs work to catch big and small but I find they get more small to average size ones. I will be sure to go there again and give it a try once the waters calm a bit. All the best, thanks.

Hi Guys, Just wanted to see if anyone can give me any ideas on how to clean my squid jigs, reason being is because they smell like crap from the EgiMax spray I use all the time. What is the best way to clean them as well as my tackle box and how often should I clean and service my reels? Thank You Zaki

Mainabar I would fish with live worms for whiting and chicken for flat head as it works the best I find. Try that and let us know how you go!

Nice catch, that's a Frigate tuna, I caught one in the hacking one afternoon there was a whole school of them swarming the place and managed one on a metal as well!

Nice catch! Do you live up in Port Stephens? The reason I am asking is because I am coming up there next week for a short break and I wanted to know if there are any good land based spots I could go score me a jewfish at night or even if I hire a boat at the mariner?
