  1. This is the best way to catch them. If you are using a Sabiki jig and they are timid take the sinker off.
  2. I would get out there thats for sure
  3. Mate wherever you are fishing, just throw a Jig out too, they are everywhere. Thats why the fish are there, there is bait all the way thru the river.
  4. What a monster!!!!!! Way to go Penguin!!!!
  5. What brand of line is it? Some lines are just crap in that aspect, need to soak them in warm soapy water before spooling. It can be the way it was spooled.
  6. Peeled prawns work great up that way for them, no need for really heavy gear champ, 30lb would be the highest leader i would use too. Joe Crafts Creek fishes well for the smaller ones up that way. Any fresh fillet of fish or squid strips would work well.
  7. Ive caught them on everything from Feathers, to shallow and deep diving minnows, jet heads, chrome slicers and even trolling gulps works a treat. They do love anything silver though.
  8. Some days 2 blocks will do other days you need 10!
  9. Definitely something 7ft around 10kg and a long butt, too many to choose from, you dont need an expensive one, $70 rods go good.
  10. Awesome work, that many Jews in a session is remarkable!!!
  11. Im sold, cant wait for the new i-phone in a few weeks!!

Nice King, is that you Tu? Kamil
  14. I think nearly any plastic will get them. Slow shake and retrieve, fast twitch...sink...twitch. They are the easiest of fish to catch on plastics!
  15. Awesome, you hear of them but dont see many, well done.
  16. I never knew about it either until i was told.
  17. Good catch, i hate dealing with sharks, they stink!!! And more likely than not, the fish you eat as fish and chips are Rudderfish caught by longliners as a by catch.
  18. Make a salty saltwater brine mix in a tub, ALSO add sugar, this really keeps the bait in one piece, fillet your fish and leave it in there overnight or two, take out and leave on paper and then wrap and freeze, basically what has been said in a few posts but the sugar is what really helps it, this is coming from a pro fisherman my mate is friends with, they swear by this.
  19. You are the Botany Bay specialist!!!
  20. Mate what a report!!! Those Hoo are up there with the biggest ive seen in this country, a near 100Lb Wahoo is a TOP fish!!!!
  21. Very tasty catch there my young friend, those red fish are Pigfish from memory. Great haul
  22. They are mostly farmed fish or from other states, but i put this to you guys, what if i went out and bought some of these fish that are clearly undersized like Trevally, Kings, Whiting and wanted to use them for bait?? What if i did this and the fisheries came up to me and wanted to do me for illegal undersize fish??? What could one say to avoid a fine, you tell them the truth and will they believe you?????
