    West Reef

Hope its a simple fix. One one of my boats i had water coming in. I figured it was the bait tanks. They werent sealed at the top.
  2. Dont think we are allowed to mention charter names :/
  3. Never fished there, but a parking lot makes me want to avoid the traffic jam!

    West Reef

What are you hoping to catch? I would come if I knew others were doing a west reef trip, but now planning to head to Jervis Bay!
  5. I read it too quickly. For some reason I thought Swaines reef was near West reed, that's why I was confused!

    West Reef

Oh sorry, I replied on the other thread. You don't need an epirb. West Reef isn't far. You can still see Kilcare beaches when you are at the Reef. Trawleys would be different. Do you have Navionics? For $15 you can have it on your phone and it shows you the reef and give you a good indication how far it is.
  7. You don't need an Epirb for West reef. But you do need the other stuff. V sheet, torch, whistle etc.
  8. Where aboutsin West reef did you go? towards Kilcare side? WHere you there early morning? Never caught a KIng there, but have seen people catching them! Good job!
  9. Where abouts? Near the heads? I never fish that way, too far for me, but I do want to go!
  10. That sucks mate. I lost a new combo once to a Kingy! Never forget that day! SO Barrenojey head has been quite then? You ever try west reef?
  11. Good point What about moving it to the right a bit more?
  12. Hi mate, I have the same transducer. I will send you pics of mine if you want. I don't get a rooster tail like you. From what I see, it looks to far down. Mine is a lot higher, so that round curve on the transducer sits level with the boat. Also, unless it is the angle, the transducer doesn't look straight. Another point, I personally would of moved the transducer to the right as the bottom of the boat seems a little flatter there and you won't get much turbulance.
  13. Love that beach!! So you were off the rocks then? Everytime i go i get the red cod!
  14. Well time to share boats Smiths Creek is surprising. Caught a good Salmon there!
  15. Can you post this in the Queensland section? Nice fish!!
  16. Didn't know there was an artificial reef that way! I thought around the heads would be good!
  17. Thanks guys, maybe I will print them up one day! BTW these are all done on the iPhone in Panaroma mode!
  18. Awesome, congrats! Bet you will want bigger later down the track
  19. I personally prefer the marine carpet! Works for me. If you get it as clip on, you can take it off for those heavy duty fishing days!
  20. Took a trip to Fraser island recently. I didn't do any fishing as I didn't have my gear. Weather wasn't that great until the last day - like usual! Last day on the island and the water was glass! Can't wait to go back with my own gear next time! Heaps of people fishing the beach. Here are some pics!
  21. Sweet. What did you get? Is it new? If its old and you have stains, i use Goof Off from bunnings. Really good on finreglass to remove stains and marks. Wont damage it at all. After that i just use a fibreglass polish from B SEE F. But meguirs would be good just from using their auto products.
