Hi guys, Think i read here somewhere that all 27mhz radios wont be supported after 2015. Is that definit? Is that with all marine services? Just wondering if i should get a VHF radio. Thanks!

Got this today near north head. What is it?

So I worked until 1am last Friday trying to get my lights working so I can rock up to the social. Got it all done. Get to the boat ramp at 5pm, thinking wow, this is strange, not many people here. They must be at the boat show, these guys forgot to plan it around the boat show! Head off to Waratah bay, 3 boats...ok they must all be at Jerusalem bay. By now it's dark, I see a boat!!... Thinking to myself soon as I turn this corner there is going to be a party up in here!!... another boat, and just one more boat. Got home around midnight and jumped on the forums, thought I would check the dates just in case. Had the wrong dates!!! I went two years ago and had fun, I didn't register but was amongst the crowds, was good fun! But if the social was the week before, I too was at Waratah bay, got there around 6pm, there wasn't many boats around. I was still testing my boat out so I went there and back only. Were most people in Jerusalem bay?

Should of been more clear. What I meant was to see pics of the lights fitted on the hull. And then the lights on in the water. Yea I have seen the Jarvis lights, I will do a search and see if I can find the pic. But I don't like the look of them. I like a bit of style

Hi, I know hatches are a bit tricky to find. RTM sell hatches besides usual boat shops. You can try giving them a call. Otherwise check up with a manufacturer and see who is willing to make you one. Like lewmar for example.

Hi mate, I just bought a seafarer myself. Seaferer venus 5.0. Love it so far. If you are looking at the 5m range, you should consider them too. I think with any old boat you need to look into the floors ans transom as they do rot. But all comes down to how they have been treated.
