  2. Hi Guys, Going for a trip this weekend to Wangi Wangi, love the name btw Anyone fished those areas or know it well? Just did a quick search on Marinews and found a few GPS spots, but not sure how accurate they are. Anyone give any pointers? I will have access to a boat, thank you
  3. I discovered that ramp only a month ago! Prefer it over Mooney Mooney any day! Bobbin head is nice too, or Berowra Waters
  4. Man, how come this never happens to me lol! I was out on Sunday and made it to North head while the sun went down, lost one fish, don't know what it was, but that was it. Is the wedding cakes just those light houses?
  5. What kind of turtles are we talking about? Little ones? Or big mammas?
  6. I'm still a King rookie, I can't offer much advice, but have your tried around the moorings around Pittwater?

    fuel economy

Would be good to line up all these boats and put them to the test for best fuel economy
  8. Was there two weekends ago and Lion Island was alive with Bonito, except my friend was sea sick so I couldn't stay.
  9. Excellent, thank you guys
  10. If you ever go to Berowra on a Saturday and arive Midday you have to be lucky to find a car park for your trailer. They are all taken up by cars and no trailers. You eaither have to go early, or arrive late to find a spot, forget midday. Sucks. I understand your frustration as I go to the ramp 90% of my time.
  11. Agree, was there on Sunday was busy enough for me!

    fuel economy

I have a Bermuda 4.1 with a 25 litre tank. I can luanch the boat at Berowra and go to Spencer and back and probably go back to bar island and back with 4 people on board.
  13. Just been doing some research and really appreciate your help guys I was just wondering if a Holden Commodore would be able to pull out the boat at a ramp easily? Whether it's steep or wet etc! Thanks

  15. So your putting mono at the end of the braid so can cast without cutting your finger? Put a bandaid on your finger and ditch the mono!
  16. My friend and I went to North head yesterday. First time for me. He has been on a fishing tour before and swore there used to be a yellow marker at North Head! What happened to it?
  17. Does anyone know any good spots to use the bait pump?
  18. Whoa! TRD! Is there one for sale somewhere? They are hard to come by. They are a limited edition.
  19. Yes I love how I can just store it at home and manouvre it all by myself. But when you get out with the big boys to play, your nothing haha.
  20. Well yesterday I was in the harbour in 20 knot winds and a bit of chop and I was getting annoyed haha as I couldn't go fast and every bigger boat was making psunami waves towards me! Anyway was looking around at the 5.4m FG boats and they were just cutting through the water what looked a hell lot easier than me. But then while fishing at the heads, I realised I had little room, and there was a 5.+ around and they looked comfortable but I think only around 2 people max for my comfort levels. Now my boat is $12k, a new Haines is around $40-50k - just wondering if it's really worth it. Costs will be more, especially fuel, what else though? Maybe I should just get a sports car again
  21. Hi Guys, Currently have a 4.1 Bermuda aluminium boat. Thinking of upgrading towards the end of the year to a 5.4 glass boat. Anyway today out on the harbour, the chop was pretty bad for my little tinny, is it that MUCH better on a 5.4 glass? Also the room on my 4.1 is tight as. 2 People fishing is ok, 2 people fishing with 7 rods on boat, berley bucket etc...is cramped! 3 people even worse! So in a 5.4, how comfortable can it be, as in how many people can you take ifshing and be ok with space? Thanks guys
  22. Yea I can agree with the guy above. I have a 4.1 Bermuda, I can take it outside the heads on calm days, can reach 55km/h on calm waters. It's a grat boat. But fishing with 3 people in it, very cramped! In the chop...hate it! I would try and get something a bit bigger 4.5+ or 6m+ second hand
  23. Im surprised too that you are having problems towing that. It should be a breeze for a commodore. For that price range you can get a Nissan Navara D22 ST-R or a Nissan Navara ST, both 2.5 diesel turbo and under $40k
  24. Should of gone harbour - west reef was dissapointing for us! Anyone go that way?
