I was once fishing the shallows behind palm beach golf course and these guys set some nets for as far as I could see then used huge winches from the sand to pull them in. They pulled in truck loads of fish. No more fish there
Took a mate who loves fishing but rarely has time to fish. We were lucky enough to get him into the action with a few school Jews. Lots of fun but the elusive big ones are still out there.
Got away from work early this arvo so picked up my son from school and hit the harbour for the tide change. Was very difficult fishing conditions due to the wind and scary with sail boats missing us by metres. We managed 4 Jews but none with great size. Good fun anyway on light gear.
Yes scratchie wife is happy about early finish but not happy that I am zonked today because of the midnight start. Whilst this spot continues to produce I will continue to fish it though the 1metre Jew I am targeting doesn't want to play ball. Lucky for my facial hair this time otherwise people might of thought it was last weeks photos..
After some recent luck in the harbour all looked promising for fishing both tide changes early this morning. We started with lots of frustration as the first 4 runs all spat the hooks. I quickly added another 4 sizes to my hook size and landed 4 school Jews. Only one going oversize 78cm all the rest were 55/63cm.
Plenty of them about at the moment.
Got up early this morning with my boy to fish the run in tide for a jew. I usually stick to run out tides and smaller tides but gave it a go anyway. Current was strong but still managed some small Jews right on 70cm. To top the day I seen a fish doing acrobatic jumps at the back of the boat then I noticed one of the rods shaking. My boy grabbed the rod and the reel started to scream. The jumping salmon had taken the bait from the bottom and gone straight to the top . After a good fight he landed a nice salmon .
