Hi, I am needing some help with my outboard. I took boat out today and I encountered some carby issues. Engine would idle but when you attempted to apply the throttle it would cut out. I noticed when I had the cover off in the water that there was a linkage not connected to anything. Not sure if I bumped it off. When I returned home I pull the carby apart and cleaned it out. I refitted it and engine now starts and revs but won't idle I am convinced this linkage that I have pictured below has something to do with it. I think it has something to do with the timing and throttle. I have also taken a photo of engine for identification. Could anyone help with advised where it is meant to be. Otherwise could anyone advise of a good marine mechanic in the parramatta area? Thanks

Hi all, Took the tinnie out yesterday in the lake with live worms, plastics etc for nothing, not a nibble. Reminded me of a Robson green episode at some deserted place. It's never happened to me before. Told my boys we will try the entrance this morning for some blackfish. Spoke to a local who gave me some tips. We collected some weed and joined the other 1324 people fishing for them. Over 100 fish caught on either side of me in 2 hours not a down for us. I once had seen a fisherman toss his rod and tackle box into the drink because his mate was catching all the fish. It was very close to being me this time. Youngest boy fell asleep in the car so drive him to our van and left him and wife to rest but decided to take other son for a little beach fishing session. Got there roughly 3 with some pillies and managed some big green back tailor some sambos and a bream in an hour. Put a smile on our faces again.

Hi raiders, We are taking the family up to budgewoi for a few days and staying at the van park on the lake. I am not too familiar with the lake and was wondering if its worthwhile taking the tinnie up? Is there any decent fish in the lake or all undersized bream? Any advice is appreciated.

Will be at rally. I drive all the way from out northwest and use this ramp.

Wow nice fish. Good to see they are coming back. We used to get the regularly land based in Sydney harbour 30 years ago. Lets hope they keep on coming

Looking at doing my first hairtail session in Cowan Saturday night. Will all this rain affect my chances of success ?

I had so many good childhood memories fishing there. I don't feel comfortable taking my kids there now as these rude people just don't get the Australian culture of taking it easy and having fun.

How did you end up?

Hi all, I have fallen to jealosy after seeing all the post with fish caught on Sp's and want to give it a go. Could i ask what brand, size, colour, hook size and weight etc i should stock up with to start. I will be targeting Jews in MH up to about 15M of water. Any advice on what to buy would be appeciated as i have no idea! Thanks
