    I'm so glad you guys had a great weekend away! By the sound of stewys smooching, you wouldn't want to catch up with me anyway! Well done on the dollies guys and the fly record stewy! Bad luck on the beaks and your right about the boys on reef magic, they're gold! At least you guys got to fish and the weather was magnificent. Family commitments had me stranded and I didn't even manage to fish the pirtek! Really glad you enjoyed gods country! Cheers scratchie!!!

    They have been getting a few at little gibber close. A few people have reported seeing schools of them off Tomaree head. Not here in numbers just yet but there are a few about. Cheers scratchie!!!

    My suggestion would be to ring a few local tackle stores around where you are staying. Tell them where your from and I'm sure they will only be to happy to help out! A few raiders may have done input too! Good luck! Cheers scratchie!!!

    Hi lee, First of all, welcome to fishraider! If you are staying at broadmeadow, port stephens is only an hour drive and you can fish for so many different species. Are you boat or land based? I don't have any experience with newy or lake mac but if you decide to drive to port I'd be happy to provide you with a few spots! Cheers scratchie!!!

    It depends how far offshore you want to head? Early morning like 5am, head out to Tomaree get some livies then come back in and try drifting the breakwall at Nelson. Fingal headland has produced a few recently. Then you can't go past Broughton island. Best there early morning, late arvo! You are also a chance up there of snapper and some longtail as well.     I haven't heard much about them at all. Heard of one being caught in the bay about a week ago but it's marlin season ATM so I'm guessing most people are out targeting them. Looking to chase a few in the coming weeks myself! Will let you know shortly as I need a trip to my local tackle store tomorrow! Cheers scratchie!!!

    Port seems to change on a daily basis. Wow, I can't believe the water has changed that much since I was out there a couple of days ago. We were hitting 25.4 in 70 fathoms. Although the current was roaring out the carpark. Try middle grounds between the fad and carpark! Cheers scratchie!!!
