Hi all. Just curious to know, with the Kings heading North in winter in search of the warmer currents, are there any known locations where you can escape the Sydney winter and go chase a few? I would assume it would be quite far North? Cheers, Mark

Hi all. I'm heading up to the Brisbane Waters (Davistown) this weekend and was just wondering if anyone from the area, or who has been there, can tell me if I would be wasting my time trying to catch squid (I have a boat) or if I should just make the trip across the mouth to Pittwater to my usual haunts for squid? Hey Big Steve I would've thought you'd want all the blood and wat have u to stay in the fillets as that would me more attractive for the fish and apparently it leaves a bit of a berley trail as is sits in the water, although i've never tried it so i'm probably talking out my ass ??? Cheers, Mark

Thanks Southerly, I was curious to know because i've noticed most the waters edge on the South-West side is mostly rocky drop off straight into the water and looked like it could possibly hold some good fish, but like you say there is no structure to keep them there, still i'm going to stick my head round there next time and have a go just for something different, cheers. Hey Kelvin do you find the big fish are around when the Kings are schooling chopping up the baitfish on the surface or do you find the hoods tend to lurk closer to the bottom by the reefs? I catch most of mine with baits under floats because I don't have a downrigger and i'm yet to crack the 70cm mark so i'm just curious. Cheers, Mark

Raiders. I'm intersted to hear anyones view on fishing North Harbour. I've been fishing Sydney Harbour for as long as I can remember, the funny thing is I've never ventured around the corner into North Harbour. I'd be intersted to hear how it fishes, species, success rate, etc? Cheers, Mark

Revenge is sweet, that's pretty funny mate. I caught a Port Jackson Shark up near Box Head once and I took it back with me to show my little cousin. When I went to release it at the waters edge it turned around and came and rested on my foot! I shoved it away and took a couple of steps to the right and it came back and rested on my foot again! Had some sort of weird crush on me Cheers, Mark
