  6. Damo Yes you could drive around all day but why not ring or go and see some of our great sponsors. I sure that there prices will be great and there service and info will be even greater. It is always better to buy from someone who will take the time to truly ensure that you are buying what you really need. I have myself brought many items from our sponsors and have also been given some really good advice for fee as well. I would also like to add that i have never felt like i was forced to buy it just because i got the advice from them. Cheers Bob
  7. Diane Good catch there. i use to fish dora creek quite a fair bit some years ago and it would still be one of my favorite spots on the lake. I have caught flatties to 6kg just of the boat ramp flicking soft plastic around. Cheers bob

  9. Jack Absolutely top catch and report there mate Can’t wait to get out there myself and hook a 30 plus as last season only managed a jelly bead 12 odd kg. Looking at some of the reports coming in it might be a reasonable season this year Cheers Bob
  10. Chopper The photos where great , the area you were fishing looked so peace full. Cheers Bob
  11. Fishabout Sorry it took so long to reply. You should be able to pick them up from any good gun shop for around $150. But you must remember that if you want to pour moulds higher than 4 inches you have to do some mod's. If you have not already read the post on ( cheap lead smelters ) have a look at it. You will see the mod's i had to do to get the larger moulds under it. http://fishraider.com.au/Invision/index.php?showtopic=29290 Cheers bob
  12. James Great report. Sounds like you's had a good day out on the water. Hope to see the pic's on soon. Cheers Bob
  13. Warnie First of all i can absolutely say it does not improve your catch rate and it also does not decrease it either. But the reason why I went to electric was that most times I fish buy myself and hauling 2 to three lines up from the bottom of browns by manual power can be some what of a challenge. The other reason was to maximize the time I can spend on the bottom when I do get to get out there. The electric reels allow me to have two baits down and one ready to go. So if you look at it this way, when one is on its way up the other is on its way down and I can tell you there is no way I could do this without the use of electric reels. So the key point for electric reels is to MAXIMIZE what time you have on the water. I would also like to add that the thrill of fighting a fish of the bottom of browns is in no way any less doing it by electric or manual power. the only thing that is different is the time it takes. Cheers Bob
  14. ADZ Great post there mate and i see the fish where not complaining either as they all went back . Hope to see more of your post here on raiders, and ones with when you take a feed for the family as well. cheers bob
  15. Tony I really do feel for you. I did not mention this in my early post but I had the same thing happen to me some years ago. But that is something i had to live with. But today we have our fish forums. So I will personally put up $50 in a store voucher if any of our sponsors will match it to ensure that you are back on the water and enjoying the passion we all love . Cheers Bob
  16. Tony All i can say is holy S____T what am ai doing wrong. I need to ask the question what was the type of gear you caught this fish of a lifetime on. cheers bob p/s this would have to be a record for a blue eye.
  17. Dave At least i am not the only one who snags at browns. I remember the last time i saw you at browns i snaged twice 500 plus of 80lb and 500plus of 125lb so i know how you pocket feels. But at least you where compensated with a fin and a good one at that. cheers bob
  18. Dogtooth If there was a prize for the post of the month ( no the year ) you would get my vote. That is just insane stuff. Shame about your blue eyes but it will be a trip you will remember. cheers bob
  19. Tony This is the worst report i have read. I’m with you the price they will sell it for is enough to make you sick. I would also like to add that Pelican idea of a rough location would help us all keep an eye out. I hope you get you gear back but most of all I hope that the mongrel get caught Cheers Bob
  20. Cindy All you need to do is copy and paste the link bar and email it to your daughter. This way your daughter will get to see the photo's and get to browse one of the best fourms . Cheers Bob
